Josh Allen Vs. Lamar Jackson

As it stands now, I have to make a decision between who to designate as a keeper. Who do you got and why? Personally, I'm leaning towards keeping Allen.

I like both but I'd pick Allen if I had to choose.

Updated my sig to show my team and the league info. I'm kinda leaning towards Allen strictly because he has hit his ceiling more times then Jackson has so far. I know that sounds a little foolish when comparing rookies but there isn't alot to go off of so far lol. Honestly, I'm debating just keeping both and opting to let McCoy go with the hope I can flip Allen/Jackson for assets given I have Rodgers.

Yeah I'd drop Mccoy. Or Lacosse or Uzomah

Edit just saw 15 keepers. This would be my team.

QB - A. Rodgers, L.Jackson, J. Allen
RB - E. Elliott, J. Mixon, N. Chubb
WR - A. Cooper, A. Jeffery, C. Davis, T. Boyd, G. Tate, Kirk
TE - E. Engram, O.J Howard, I. Thomas

Samuels may be worth a flier though over Kirk. Adams and Ballage aren't keepers but may be worth redrafting

I'd keep Jackson and it's not even close for me. I think Jackson will be a stud for a long time.

Not sure who else you're keeping, but I don't see much of a trade market in a 10 team, 1QB league. I'd probably be keeping Rodgers and Winston and throwing everyone else back. Possibly keep a either Jackson or Allen. Definitely not keeping 4 qbs.

Buffalo is on TV every week due to where I live here in WNY and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with Allen, considering I had doubts of him prior to the season. He has an amazing arm and I feel like accuracy concerns are overblown, as his WR's drop a ton of catch-able passes.

His O-Line and WR's have been bottom 5 this year, yet he's had multiple performances with 3 or 4 TD's. He definitely has the worst supporting class of any of the rookie QB's this year.

Buffalo has tons of cap space opening up and the most draft picks this upcoming NFL draft. You have to believe Brandon Beane and Co is going to put talent on the field around their QB prospect, Josh Allen.

I like Buffalo moving forward a lot, I think he is your obvious keeper. You could even keep him and Jackson and dump Winston.

This is a helpful and considerate response. Just curious though, in a 10 team league, is there still value in stock piling young and starting QBs? I play in a 16 team league, so can't relate to having so many starting QBs. I'd be very tempted to keep a Prescott over a 3rd TE like I. Thomas, based on scarcity and simply keeping him off someone else's roster.

Definitely more value in them in 16 QB. I wouldn't think twice about dropping Winston (see above) or Dak in 1 QB. These are 2 great rookies though who's value should increase no matter the league... At least I like both of those 2 over the other keeper options

I have more confidence in Allen. He was supposedly super intelligent on the "white board" side of things, and I think is more prepared for a pro offense. They both are relying on athleticism a bit more, but Allen has a better arm and he has the size to take hits, Lamar is going to get hurt IMO. They both struggle with accuracy, but I'm banking on Allen over Jackson if one of them makes it.

Ugh. Matt Kelley can be too much sometimes. I sincerely hope he has to eat that statement.

Sometimes? More like 99.9% of the time. The guy is a Grade A douche.

I was thinking the same thing but I dont know if I would wanna keep 3 TEs but I'm not necessarily sold on Marvin Jones over Ian Thomas Either lol. I'm watching the playoff game right now and it looks like Jackson couldn't hit the broad side of a barn 50% of the time. I know both QBs struggle with accuracy but can anyone vouch for Allen's low completion percentage being a product of accuracy or a product of his supporting cast being atrocious?
