Should I try to trade away Calvin Johnson?

Postby Phisk » Fri Dec 25, 2015 1:24 pm

He hasn't shown his best performances this season and might be even worse next one. What do you guys think?

I think anyone can be possibly traded at anytime. It all depends on what you can get. Today is a terrible time to try to trade him away. Id wait until the offseason ish pans out. Maybe he goes to the Patriots and his value skys.

Do you guys really think Calvin has declined this much or is it that he just does not get the targets anymore? Love the guy but it seems time to move on but not sure you can get anything for him .

I will give you a 2016 1st and 2nd right now. If you can cash out, I understand but I think he have 2 or 3 more years left. He has had that ankle all year too dont forget

Depends on the needs of your team. I agree a little with Cherokee that right this moment is not really the ideal time to trade him away. That being said, if I were a Calvin owner I'd be looking to trade him away ASAP to a smart owner who needs a good WR of the 'now'. Not because I don't think hes good or that he'll be a scrub next year, but his value isn't getting any higher. You have to make the choice to sell high when u can or be that guy to ride out whatever he's got left in the tank. Study some other owners and make an offer I'd say.

Wait til like 2 or 3 months before the season starts when magazines and websites come out with season rankings. His value will be most inflated then IMO.
