Julio or Gronk at 1.01
Julio or Gronk at 1.01
This is in relation to a thread I created in the Dynasty League Question forum. I asked about different rankings for a keeper league vs a dynasty league. I mentioned my plan was to take Julio Jones #1 overall, but a couple of you fine gentlemen mentioned that Gronk is the better choice to take at the 1.01 spot. I want to make a poll on this to get as many opinions as possible before saturdays start up draft. Here are my league settings for context:
10 man PPR
1 QB
2 WR
2 RB
1 TE
1 Flex
10 Bench
I have the 1.01 in the upcoming keep 7 startup. Who do I take?

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
They both have an injury history. But I'd roll with Julio
Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
Since there isn't a choice for "neither" I'm taking Julio. But personally, with as few bellcow RBs as there are these days, I'd take one of them. Bell or Lacy would be my 1 and 2.

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
Give me Julio, and know that there will more players available (so you can have a shot at a better rb than if it were 12+ teams)
Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
Interesting results so far. Id like to have as many votes as possible. If your answer is "bell cow RB" than say so in your comment.

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
Too easy. Julio is a top 5 pick. Nothing against Gronk but to me he is an early second round pick. Give me Dez, Brown, Thomas and Julio all before a "bellcow" rb anyday

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
I'm going to be "that guy" and take Andrew Luck. Bell would be my 2nd choice.
Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
I traded my 1.01 pick and now I am picking from the 1.03. The guy who has the #1 overall now is planning on taking Luck. I feel much better about taking Julio or Gronk.

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
I'm not sure if either of them would absolutely be my choice, but if those WERE my only two choices, give me Julio. And I'm a Gronk owner.

Re: Julio or Gronk at 1.01
I see no reason to be taking any RB in the 1st round
And the positional advantage Gronk over other TEs is overblown
I would take about 6 WRs before Gronk came into the picture, with Julio near the top.

Totally agree. Had him last year and he was great but would still rather draft Julio, Brown or Dezoperwapitsai wrote:I see no reason to be taking any RB in the 1st round

Trade back even further. Two picks at the end of the first and beginning of the second is where the value is at IMO.
