Need to decide by early next week. Current RB situation is: JCharles, TRich, JStew.

Have option of activating or cutting Ryan Williams and Bilal Powell.

Costs are as follows:
Ryan Williams activate = $15.50
Ryan Williams drop = $2.50
Bilal Powell activate = $9.50
Bilal Powell drop = $1.50

Current salaries are at $88.50 with a salary cap of $200.

Team sits as follows:
QB- Russel Wilson, Cutler
RB- above
WR- AJG, BLoyd, Hartline, Michael Floyd
TE- Hernandez, Tamme

Planning on targeting high profile WR in RFA auction, but not sure who will be available yet. Thoughts appreciated on what to do with RB situation.

Do you have an idea as to what RBs will be available with your FA auction begins?

I don't think Powell is worth 5% of your cap and I'm not so sure if Williams is worth 8% of your cap either... Will the additional $21 (11%) in cap space help you get a better calibre RB?

If the FA RB's aren't incredibly good, and you were to choose between the two of them, I'd probably consider keeping Williams on your team for 1 additional season to see if he can do anything if given the opportunity. I don't really think Powell will do much, and from the way that the Jets have been playing the offseason acquiring Goodson and making a move to potentially acquire Ivory, it doesn't sound like they have much faith in him either.

Have you considered dropping them and trying to re-acquire them on a cheaper contract due to the general public being down on both players? Williams will probably cost more to re-acquire, but I bet you could probably get Powell for near minimum if you were to drop and try to re-sign.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I won't know who else is available until after i submit my claims and most of the top RBs are locked up under contract.

I like the idea of dropping and trying to pick up cheap. Solid idea.

Powell is a cut and I don't think R.Williams is worth that amount. I would let R.Williams into free agency and see what happens. Maybe you get him back at a discount or maybe you let someone else pay him too much. $10 is the most I'd wager on a Rb who can't stay healthy, can't hold onto the ball, and will likely be a backup to Mendy.

I decided to drop both. We will see what happens in FA auction. Wouldn't be shocked if I can snag one or both for cheaper.
