Evan Engram trade value?

Postby Cosmik Debris » Sat Jul 04, 2020 2:14 pm

Evan Engram hit the trade block in my league and I can use a TE (my best TE under contract is Gesicki). Engram's contract is dirt cheap but entering the last year of league contract, so any trade is potentially for 1 year. I'm hesitant to offer too much for an oft-injured TE coming off a Lisfranc injury where I might only get a year of service.

ETA: non-PPR, so no TE premium.
10-team, no flex, standard scoring, $250 cap:
QB: J. Hurts ($1), Mac Jones ($3)
RBs: Barkley ($81), Mixon ($55), Pollard ($18), Perine ($1),Scott ($1), IR Penny ($1)
WRs: M. Williams ($30), DJ Moore ($7.00), E. Moore ($5.50), C. Claypool ($5), KJ Osborn ($2.50), J. Reynolds ($1), G Wilson (PS $7.00/5 yrs)
TEs: D. Goddert ($18), D. Njoku ($1), J. Johnson ($1)

I don’t think it’s worth it for you unless you are a contender with a obvious hole at TE or flex spot. Engram on a 1 year deal is not appealing to me. I would wait and pick him up next year. I know Gesicki leaves a lot to be desired, but he going to be available to play.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely in win-now mode (finished 2nd last year, returning all of the same starters minus Ertz). I've kinda soured on the thought of Engram and his 1-year contract.

Good call. If EE continues to be an injury liability he could be cut/traded after the 2021 season with no cap hit.
