I thought the offsetting roughing the passer was a weak call tooalewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:20 pmYeah not sure I agreed with that either.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:19 pm Raiders don't deserve to win, but that call on Jacobs, of all the RB lowering their head plays, wow. He was basically wrapped up and not going anywhere.

I longer will be subtle. Allen Robinson is a stud.

He's not a good QB either

He's not a solution to any of them either.

Re: Week 4 Discussion
Never said this loss was on Dak, I'm pointing out that this team hasn't been able to get it done while Dak is on a rookie deal, is paying him $45 and taking that money from elsewhere all if a sudden going to make them better? I agree that they shouldn't have paid Zeke what they did.ThunderTung wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:49 pmFirst mistake was paying Zeke. not that he's not incredible, i just dont believe in paying RB's that much. They do need to pay Dak however, QB's have gotten payed for doing less. the Mahomes and Wilsons of the world arent easy to come by. they put up 38 points and were within 3 before they let OBJ loose on a 50 yard TD first play of the drive. This loss is not on DakAussieMate wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:40 pmI don't think it's about who you can replace him with, it's that he doesn't look like he'll bring them a ship as the team is now, is he going to do better with a less talented team after they pay him the stupid amount he thinks he is worth? The argument that there isn't anyone better is why a team gets stuck over paying an ok QB and never making a push for the SB.
Obvs you can tell I'm not a huge Dak fan girl so take that into account here.
Yes the Mahomes and Wilson's are rare, so paying Dak like those two is a good idea how?

Re: Week 4 Discussion
Not quite the same thing (at all), as it's a QB, and we aren't talking about a trade with Dak, but it was always why my argument was the Raiders made the right move trading Mack. Get 2 firsts, or sign a guy to 5 times what he's getting paid currently, to stay on a team that isn't good, and who, despite his talents, isn't a competitor. Not sure why people thought the Raiders with Mack and 20 million less in cap room would be better.AussieMate wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:56 pmNever said this loss was on Dak, I'm pointing out that this team hasn't been able to get it done while Dak is on a rookie deal, is paying him $45 and taking that money from elsewhere all if a sudden going to make them better? Henderson, what a stud.
Re: Week 4 Discussion
It's not good. Dak is a good qb and maybe even a very good qb(or atleast on pace to be), but he is not elite. There are a lot of things to like about Dak though. Maturity which is important at qb position,
mobility, accuracy, and leadership. He is definitely talented enough to win a SB with pieces around him which he has on offense just not enough on defense. LVE and Lee are great on defense but just can't stay healthy. I think Diggs will be a good db and they have some guys on dline, but health is a issue.
I was against giving Zeke that money. He is GREAT don't get me wrong, but not a position I wanna give that kind of money to. It is pretty easy to get talent and production at the rb position from FA or draft
If they could have worked out a deal for 30-32 maybe even 34mil a year with Dak and had played hardball with Zeke and either got him for 2mil a year cheaper or moved on I think they would be in a better position. Defense and coaching has been an issue not just this year but last few years.

Ha. I've thought that for some time. It's being in Chicago that's holding him down. I don't see that changing.

Lane Johnson hurt. Wentz must be wondering if he can still opt out.
