Gotta be the longest book with the most blank pages
Corey Davis will make a try at this...
I don't think many took Davis at 1.01.
Fournette was certainly the most popular choice at 1.01 that year, but Davis was going 1.01 the second most. He went #1 in a fair amount of my leagues, and LF went #1 in the rest.

I'm assuming it was a SF draft because of the QBs going so high, but Bortles and especially Manziel were blatantly obvious future busts to me from the very beginning, no chance I would have taken either. I know it's easy to say now, but I absolutely would have drafted

1 Watson

I can guarantee that you wouldn't have...it's very easy to say in hindsight you would've taken those guys, but Sankey and Hyde both had a ton of hype, and Manziel's rushing potential made him a rookie darling as well. Beckham's injury issues in training camp and preseason also dropped his rookie draft stock.
I can guarantee you that I would have. I wasn't playing Dynasty at the time but I still played regular fantasy and have always followed the draft closely, they were the clear top 3 fantasy guys imo and I hated the entire RB class that year. I especially hated Manziel and Bortles that year and thought they were blatantly obvious busts waiting to happen, which they were.

If you say so. Like I said, hindsight is 20/20.

I would just say I would have taken

1 OBJ
2 Evans
3 Adams

If I was using revisionist history, which is obviously how that draft would go with the use of hindsight. I thought Sammy was the clear #1 and was going to be on par with previously highly drafted WRs like AJ/Julio/Fitz/Calvin, clearly whiffed there as did many others.

On a board where every fifth post is a lame flex, this one stands out as particularly lame. Jesus.

It's not a "flex", it's just the truth. I would hardly call ranking the 3 highest drafted fantasy relevant players drafted in the NFL Draft as the best 3 players in a fantasy draft a stretch, especially with QB and RB classes as bad as they were that year.

I probably would have taken Ebron 4 that year too, so that would have obviously blow up in my face.

OBJ was far from consensus top-3, but Sammy and Evans were definitely top 2 for most people. 1.06 for Evans is crazy to me. Here's an ADP of those rookies. OBJ is way lower than I remember (I recall him being a mid-first), but about right:

That's funny, I didn't even see that. Here's a different ADP that should be more reliable:

lol yeah you are

Doesn't really matter, though. Whatever ADP you look up will have Sammy/Evans as the top 2. DLF's is behind a paywall, but I'm sure they're 1 and 2 in that one.

Checked it for you - DLF actually only goes properly back to 2017.

They had Corey over Fournette, fyi 8-)

I still don't get the Sankey thing to this day. He wasn't an elite RB prospect by any means, even though he was good his last year in college. I think Sankey went high because of situation. The Titans were a run-first team, they got rid of Chris Johnson, and they spent a 2nd on Sankey and he had no competition.

Watkins had everything you wanted from a WR, but I think people expected him to be hungrier on the field. It felt like at times he was just content being what he was and that greatness would just come to him. Also, the injuries didn't help.
