"There is a lot of chatter on twitter in Cleveland about the possibility of Kareem Hunt having been involved in a bar fight this weekend. As of right now we know of no police report. We’ve reached out to people in Cleveland and will let you know if there is anything to the rumors."

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Hunt doesn't have a problem with domestic violence. Hunt has a problem with drinking and getting aggressive.

Guy needs to give up alcohol to save his career. If this stuff is true, this is his 4th drunken altercation in the last year and a half.

I thought it was weird that the Chiefs gave up Hunt so quickly and easily, but hung onto Tyreek Hill. I understand the video had something to do with it, but to me the video wasn't career-ending, and the fact that he ended up in Cleveland not long after proved that.

Now it makes sense and I think you're 100% right. Substance abuse is a death-sentence when it comes to pro sports athletes. The Chiefs knew he was headed down the path of no return and combined with the altercation, knew he'd be too much of a headache.

Further details I've read are it was at a bar named Barley House, he knocked someone out and ran from police but they caught him.

Again, its all just rumors at this point.

One would think this would be all over social media by now given the times we live in. Hard to think there werent a million cell phones out recording. Would also think a police report would have been leaked by now as well. Seems odd.

I've also seen some uncorroborated reports that Hunt tried to shove a broom stick up someone's tailpipe...

While I agree, there is also a difference in perception when there are no images, pictures, or video present. Just look at Zeke and Rice. It was not until the pictures and video came out respectively that they received serious suspensions. Hunt had a video of him attacking a woman while Hill had (to my knowledge) no pictures of his son taken.

Well now I officially feel bad for trading D Williams for Hunt...

Nothing to see here...
Still not good. Doesn't give much confidence he'll be able to stay clean, or out of trouble.

^Agreed.
A video of him surrounded by police officers doesn't exactly give the organization the impression that he's taking advantage of the opportunity they gave him

There may be other videos to come, too. So many phones out there. The Browns said there would be a "zero tolerance" policy with Hunt. Curious to see how they view this. Isn't he supposed to be off the bottle? Either way, this may be enough that if he makes it to the end of the year on their roster, that they don't resign him, now.

This is similar to the Zeke situation (though IMO not as bad because there's no evidence he actually physically contacted anyone). Not a good look but likely nothing imminent to come of this. You can choose to read into this what you will about his future given his behavior. Similar to Zeke we can't separate incidents like this from past actions.

Similar, but not. The Cowboys are thinking of handing Zeke the largest contract for a running back in NFL history, and Kareem Hunt is on a "zero tolerance" 1 year contract and currently set to serve an 8 game suspension. Zeke's future and situation are quite a bit rosier than Hunt's. Zeke is set to meet with the NFL tomorrow though, so who knows what comes of that.

You'd think whoever Hunt's agent or PR guy is, would try to make the kid understand that even being in these positions ain't the greatest look with that rosy track record of his.

Who knows if anything comes from this but all in all, bad habits and decision making "skills" are incredibly difficult things to try and get someone to correct.

So best case scenario, at a minimum, this shows Hunt is an idiot who hasn't learned a thing from his ordeal and punishment about going out partying and getting a little wild

This situation today has shed light on a more disturbing situation involving Kareem Hunt.....

There are people out there who think he is the starting RB in Cleveland.

Is it possible to be that delusional?
