Dallas Cowboys Tight End Situation

Postby turcorox911 » Fri Feb 01, 2019 1:39 am

Who do you trust the most at TE for the Cowboys? Who do you think has the most upside? Should the team use a Day 2 pick on a TE this year? How do you rank the 4 they currently have?

Blake Jarwin
Geoff Swaim
Dalton Schultz
Rico Gathers

Does Rico finally get cut this year?

They'll probably draft a new one. Lots of good players this year. None of what they have stands out like a good player.

Basketball leagues?

I held Rico last offseason, this offseason I hold Jarwin, at least until the draft.

It doesn't matter what we want. Once we get it, we want something else.

I guess Jarwin is the one out of the current bunch. I'm not interested in any though

XFL Dynasty doesn't start until next year though.

While Jarwin has been a nice surprise, Shultz is the upside TE on this roster IMO. He is a very good blocker and showing some route improvement. The Cowboys may draft or sign a TE but overall they are not that disappointed with the ones they have.

I would target Shultz if you have roster space. Think his 3 down skill set is the best. He started contributing around week 10. He needs to add a bit of bulk but the Cowboys seem pretty high on him.

So if you're the Cowboys, do you use a Day 2 pick on a TE, or do you go with other needs first? Personally, I'd go with SS and FS, followed by a RB in Round 4.

Jarwin is the #1, Schultz is the blocking TE, Rico is a cute story and Swaim is not under contract. I wouldn't draft a TE if I were DAL

If Noah Fant or Irv Smith were on the board, I think you'd have to consider it.
