Josh Gordon for Free?

HAHAHA Ok, long story short. In my sig, I have 2 first rounders every year until 2019. I bought Josh Gordon for a first round pick when he was low, a few months later I traded him for 3 future first when we thought he was coming back... Now, the owner has dropped him out of frustration. I should pick him up right? Or am I trippin?

Damn, wish Gordon owners would drop him in leagues that I'm in. I haven't even seen Blackmon dropped yet, and he's someone that belongs on the WW IMO.

I personally just dropped Gordon in my league for team 2 in my sig. I'm just tired of filling a roster spot with a guy that doesn't even want to be in the league.

I don't have much faith in him, but I'd roster him over any of the last 4 WRs in your sig.

I have more faith in Gordon than in someone like Austin.

Hmmmmmm...

That's tough. I did drop Blackmon when he failed/missed his reinstatement test, and I've been a somewhat vocal detractor about rostering Gordon as I really don't think he gets it. But given the circumstances you outline, I almost think you have to pick him back up on principle to illustrate that you added 3 1st-round picks to your team for FREE. Never mind that Gordon comes along with the picks as I'd expect you'll be cutting him at some point down the road in the not too distant future.

I recently acquired him in a multiplayer trade. I'm in full-on rebuild mode, so he seemed like a perfect fit for me. He's only 24, and he's obviously not gonna score any points this season that would screw up my 2016 draft position. Worst case scenario, if he's not on an active roster by the start of the 2016 season, he's a pretty easy drop; no big loss. Best case, if he comes back and starts playing like, well, Josh f---ing Gordon circa 2013, I have the option of either selling high for future assets or just keeping him and building around him.

It depends on how shallow the league is and how deep your team is. With your team there are 7-8 players I'd drop for Gordon. In general a 12 team/20 man roster he's not WW material, but for someone's particular team in that league he may be.

Id definitely add him. IF he screws up again before he's reinstated you drop him. If he doesn't, you have a potential WR1 for free. Easy decision IMO

With the back-end of your WR depth not offering anywhere near Gordon's upside, yes, I would add him.

hes a must hold IMO, until he's fully a lost cause (getting there) he has too much potential to drop, still so young and already has proved he can ball

I would definitely pick him up and hold him through the season. It appears you have the roster space to do so, I would rather have Gordon than the last 4-5 WR's in your sig.

I did grab him right away. The owner sent me a text saying good luck. I have a feeling I'm going to be trading him back to this guy for another first rounder haha
