Kelce trade offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kelce trade offer

Postby Diti51 » Fri May 22, 2015 5:05 pm

For team one in signature.

Team with Kelce wants picks + player with majority in form of picks.

I need a TE and have depth at WR, so thinking of dealing a WR not named Evans or Brown.

Would 1st rounder in 2016 and one of my WRs be enough to get deal done? Or will it take two firsts in your opinion? Curious from Kelce owners out there what they would want in a 10 team, 53 man roster with IDP, salary cap league.

I'd offer Martavis Bryant and a 2016 1st to get things started. Bryant has the hype right now that it may get the deal done. I don't know if I'd add 2 1st rounders for the small sample size we have so far with Kelce, but that is a pretty generous first offer.

How does his team look? Contender? Areas of weakness?

contender. finished second last year. he said more interested in picks than any players. Only guy he really covets on my team is Mike Evans. Here is his squad:
QB: Kaepernick, Luck
RB: Lev Bell, Al Blue, Tev Coleman, Ellington, AFoster, DMartin, Alf Morris, Lat Murray, Denard Robinson, TWest, Mike Davis, Langford
WR: JBrown, VCruz, Garcon, TY, Andre Johnson, Charles Johnson, Demaryius, Ty Lockett
TE: Clay, Donnell, Josh Hill, Kelce

thoughts??

Kelce is overvalued by most of his owners in the leagues I've been in.
Bryant and a 1st is pretty large overpay IMO. Plus, his WR depth is just awful. I'd hold.
I'd try for Josh Hill. The guy is going to be really good.

so guy with Gronk asking for 3 first rounders 2016. Too much. Countered with 2 first rounders next year and 2nd in 2017. It is a TE premium league at 1.5 PPR, but would rather hold with young TEs I have than give up that much future.

Agree Kelce deal is too much. thanks for confirming my gut feeling. Should have just read article from Harvard Business Journal Jules tweeted.

I'm a chiefs fan and I think Kelce is overrated. I think he's just okay. Better than okay but I never get him confused with Gronk or Graham. Nothing about his play that I've witnessed makes me think he's oh so special. Better than Rudolph, not really much different than Cameron. I have not tried to go out and get him anywhere.

100% agree. I would do this and do it in a hurry. Gronk is arguably the most value dynasty asset in a 1.5 TE prem lg

I find this a little surprising. Kelce has been really impressive from what I've seen. I remember the Patriots game vividly as a Pats fan, watching him shred their D. I then remembered thinking how he reminded me of Gronk, and I questioned what separated them athletically. I shot over to playerprofiler not too long ago, and found ago that nothing really separates them, and Gronk is actually his athletic comp. He had a brilliant second year, despite not really playing year one, and is still learning how to block, which he's reportedly worked on all offseason. He's uncoverable, and catches really well. Fasano is also gone, which will allow him to get involved in more sets. He's going to be a target monster, as Smith loves intermediate routes. I don't really see what there isn't to like about this guy to be honest. I actually think he will be the TE2 after this year.

As a Kelce owner I think I would need the 1.05 pick in this years draft to give him up.
Team 1: 12 team ppr
QB: Josh Allen, Kirk Cousins, Tua Tagovailoa
RB: Darrell Henderson, Tarik Cohen, James White, Devonta Freeman, Benny Snell Jr.
WR: DeAndre Hopkins, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Courtland Sutton, Michael Gallup, Mecole Hardman, Darius Slayton, Dionte Johnson, Justin Jefferson
TE: Mike Gesiki, Rob Gronkowski, Jonnu Smith, Dawson Knox

Now is a terrible time to buy Gronk. You're better off waiting until after his next injury. By that time, hopefully Graham or someone else has shown well enough to at least throw doubt on the fact that Gronk is a full tier above the rest of the field.

If one or two of those things happen, and either very easily could, then a lot of Gronk owners will come back to earth a bit.

I couldn't agree more. I guess everyone has an opinion but every time I watch Kelce play, he just looks like a mismatch for whomever is covering him, the Gronk comparison is a good one, to me, the only thing holding Kelce back is Andy Reid's offense but I think with Maclin coming in and Charles still productive, we will see an even better Kelce this season and like you said, no Fasano. His best days are on the way, I could easily see a 900-1,000
yard 8TD season from him as early as this season.
