Ajayi at 1.12???

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

He just went 1.08 in one of mine. Which is great because I have 1.10 and 1.11. Somehow Parker has not been picked yet either....

I took ajayi with the 2.04 in my rookie draft, his knee issue is kind of scary but your still receiving a skilled rb who went to a team that seems to always want and unseat miller as their rb1. Id try and trade down a couple spots

Ajayi was not drafted by Miami to take over lead back role from Miller. Rather he was drafted to supplement him such that Miller would not have to touch the ball more than 19 times per game (rushs & receptions combine). Those of you who are drafting him with the hope that he does that will be disappointed.

Jay Ajayi, Boise State, 5-11¾, 221 – Fourth-year junior…A two-year starter who rushed 598 times for 3,248 yards, caught 72 for 757 yards and scored 51 touchdowns in that span…Born in London and moved to the U.S. in 2000…Tore his ACL in 2011…Has good balance and field vision…Has explosive burst and can make jump cuts and get back to full speed quickly…Can take hits without being knocked backwards and typically gets the most out of every run…Bulked up in college and has effectively maxed out on how much more bulk he can add and isn’t an ideal between-the-tackles runner…Too quick to bounce runs outside and spends too much time running laterally…Has taken a pounding over the last two years, which will have some questioning his durability…Ran a 4.57 40 at the Combine with 19 reps, a 39-inch vertical jump and a 10-1 broad jump. PROJECTION: A dynamic runner who can be a productive pro, but he will likely have to be part of a system that highlights his skills and doesn’t overuse him.

The Miami Herald believes Lamar Miller is secure as the Dolphins' lead back for 2015.

Reporter Barry Jackson suggests Miami may add a rookie or cheap free agent to provide competition for No. 2 back Damien Williams, but new VP of Football Operations Mike Tannenbaum is a fan of Miller's. "Lamar Miller played very well, high character, very productive," Tannenbaum said. Turning 24 next month, Miller is a top-ten running back asset in Dynasty leagues

He was barely jogging for draft and I remember him going in the 3rd of rookie drafts. Ajayi was putting up numbers, did not look hindered whatsoever, he's worth the 1.12.

The argument on DLF is "I'd rather trust professional GM's and medical evaluations". Comparing a dynasty owner and an NFL GM is kinda ridiculous. A billion dollar industry looking for face of franchise, long term investments, it's their actual job. This is a hobby and we spend 0-$100 on average per year.

Are you really expecting someone at 2.01 to be a cornerstone of your "team"? 2-3 years for a RB is fine by me. Make a run, flip him, whatever. Compared to the options at that spot, worth the risk. I think every player in the 2nd is a reach for that pick unless someone took a qb in the 1st. I'll roll with the guy that was the 1.06 a month ago and take my chances
Great answer. There are about 5 guys I am looking to take at 1.12 and Ajayi is one of them. Full disclosure though, I also owned Lattimore in 3 leagues.

I am considering this move too in my team for sig 2.

What if perrimen or agholor is available? One of them very well could be becuase this league is rb nuts.

Would it be too big of a reach to take ajayi over on of them? (I saw funchess strong ect mentioned before)

To answer original posters question no I don't think you are crazy considering I am debating the move myself.

Be cool to try to get a list of players from anyone else who they feel ajayi ABSOLUTELY shouldn't jump regardless of the crush.

Your draft is past 1.8 and Parker is still on the board?

Yep, lol. I've been trying to trade up like crazy but no luck. I have 10 and 11. Abdullah went 4th, White 5th, Yeldon 6th, Coleman 7th and Ajayi 8th! I wouldn't say that these guys are exactly experts, lol. Parker went 1.09 so I took Perriman and Agholor at 10 and 11.

I'm also considering trading down but I'm going to wait and see if anyone slides. Seems like someone always slides.

I had 1.16 in my 16 teamer and grabbed Duke. I was back and forth between him and Ajayi. I was then able to swing a couple deals to net the 2.01, so I grabbed Ajayi. I think 16-17 is solid value for him, but I would probably draft him as high as 13 or 14 overall.

Ajayi would be worth a gamble at 2.12, not 1.12. I would take Dorsett/Funchess/Maxx/Winston/Devin Smith and a few others over Ajayi.

I personally wouldn't take Dorsett, Maxx or Smith over Ajayi under any circumstance. Maybe Funchess or Winston depending on team need and league.

Thanks for the scouting report...

Miller couldn't beat out a healthy Moreno last year. He has had to bulk up in the offseason, which doesn't help RBs that are quick and elusive. It impacts their physiology and biomechanics if done too swiftly. Miller is pegged as the starter, yes. But if Ajayi picks up the offense quickly and looks to be the better back in training camp and the preseason, then he's going to eat into Lamar's touches. Add in the fact that Suh's cap hit is like $28 million next year, and there's no way they're resigning Miller for what he'll ask for when they have a cheaper (5th round contracts are peanuts) younger option. In a dyno format I'd be very nervous as a Miller owner.

Took Ajayi at 2.06 and couldn't be happier. Dart throws at this point and all upside. Yeah there's risk, but no-one knows how he'll fare and that's the beauty of it. People are wrong all the time, and mid-second for me was worth the gamble on him being a gem.

I don't think MIA can afford Miller next year with Suh signing as well. Hopefully it works it for me.

I took him at 18 overall. Coleman and the rest of the good RBs were gone

If Coleman or David Johnson ARI is there would prefer them
