McKinnon Value (assuming AP leaves)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

McKinnon Value (assuming AP leaves)

Postby ivenovember » Mon Feb 23, 2015 3:23 pm

There have been some good posts on the value of McKinnon and buying him low right now. I was fortunate enough to buy low on him, a mid 3rd and 4th rounder this year. My question revolves around the value of McKinnon ASSUMING AP is gone (trade or cut, doesn't matter). So let's say AP gets cut tomorrow, what's the value for McKinnon in terms of rookie picks? Where would he slot into a start-up PPR draft, the following is ADP RBs 10 through 22:

10. CJ Anderson
11. Tre Mason
12. Lamar Miller
13. Marshawn Lynch
14. Mark Ingram
15. Andre Ellington
16. AP
17. Arian Foster
18. Alfred Morris
19. Isaiah Crowell
20. Shane Vereen
21. Terrance West
22. Bishop Sankey

Rookie Pick value? ADP where would McKinnon slot in?
12 Team .5 PPR Dynasty:
QB: Tom Brady, Andy Dalton, Sam Bradford
RB: Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis, Ryan Mathews, Jeremy Hill, Christine Michael, Joseph Randle, Devonta Freeman
WR: AJ Green, TY Hilton, Josh Gordon, Odell Beckham, Justin Blackmon, Jordan Matthews, Cordarrelle Patterson, Brian Quick, Michael Floyd
TE: Rob Gronkowski, Ladarius Green, Richard Rodgers
K:
D/ST: Rams, Bengals

I'd put him right in front of Ellington

I'd put him in the 18-19 range around Morris and Crowell.

I'd put him in the top 15 for sure! He's better than mason and Ellington. I'd switch up their order a bit but I think he falls at number 13

LOL......I love how everyone jumps the AP ship if he gets traded. It reminds me of when he tore up his knee and everyone responded the same way, the posted over 2k yards and 12 TD's. I guess some never learn that this guy is a freak and has proven it over and over again. Depends on where he lands but that dude is at least a top 10RB. 15th 18th 19th thats laughable. wait and see......BOOM

I don't see anyone saying about AP, just McKinnon's value if AP does not play in Minnesota. Based on the reports, it does not sound too likely AP suits up for the Vikings next season. So the question is a reasonable one about McKinnon's value.

Good chance MINN drafts a RB in the top 3 rounds if Peterson isn't going to be there. At the present time i'd value him as a late 1st/early 2nd round rookie pick if AD is confirmed gone. You still have to fade the NFL draft even if AD isn't there.
