I too would probably take the third and see if i can hit on someone who will gain value. There are guys, you just have to pick the right one. Frankly, Tavon has shown me nothing to believe. He was a niche player to begin with, but now has 2 years of extremely underwhelming performance as well. You are hoping for a lot for him to go up, no better chance than your third round flier, only the flier can catch on much quicker than Tavon in terms of trade value. Draft status means little at this point, he's running out of time.

Watch a Rams game. Brian Schottenheimer was awful and they had Austin Davis and Shaun Hill at QB. The talent is there, they just don't seem to know how to maximize it. That applies to the rest of their receivers too. They have a very poor game plan.

Selling him for a 3rd is reasonable in theory based on value/ADP, but Tavon has more talent and upside than a typical 3rd rounder and is only 23.

I agree with this, for the most part. 10-12 team leagues, I like the 3rd. I think I'm only taking it if it's in the top half of the round though. Otherwise, I'll hold Tavon. Anything worse than that, and I'd pass. His value can't be lower than it is right now. Once his rookie contract is up, and he can go where he pleases, his value should have a slight uptick.

He used him as a slot/backfield decoy to no avail. crappy QB play and poor schemes have doomed Tavon. There are quite a few WR's that had a worse first two seasons than Tavon and still broke out their 3rd year. See Brian Quick, Roddy White, Sanatana Moss etc.

My 2 cents, Tavon has been bad, yes. But he will likely get more snaps than the majority of any 3rd rd draft pick this year. People are assuming that because Landry and McKinnon had decent seasons that every 3rd pick has the same chance to produce like that. They would be wrong. Tavon is a hold until after this season. He is still explosive on tape but just hasn't been given a real chance. If he doesn't get it this year then I would rather have a waiver guy.

People assuming that because landry and mckinnon had a decent season that every third round pick has the same chance to produce.....lets see....lets look at 2013 and 2014 and i will name a few going in the third is some drafts and you tell me how many you would rather have then tavon. who was a first by the way...

2013- Charles johnson, kenny stills, jordan reed, andre ellington, marques wilson, lat murray, knile davis,denard robinson...to name a few....


2014- Martavis bryant, derek carr, landry, sims, paul richardson, john brown, crowell, mckinnon, bridgewater, andre williams, to name a few.

i would say there is some decent talent to be found in the third...pick and choose wisely...
