Trading for DT and Jimmy

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading for DT and Jimmy

Postby arikisdumb » Tue Jan 27, 2015 5:05 pm

Team 1 below. 2 TE league

I have been trying to trade for Jimmy by offering nelson plus a little for him but the owner won't bite. I have been also toying with the idea of DT from him as well.

His wr and te:

WR: DT, Evans, Marshall, Steve Smith, Decker, Crabtree
TE: Jimmy, Cook

I was thinking of offering Jordy, Alshon, Witten for DT and Jimmy

Too much? Not enough? Or would it be better to just stick with what I have?

i doubt that would get accepted. seems a little lite especially in a 2 TE league. I think you would have to add a #1 to your side to get the other guy to seriously consider.

Witten has such little value I don't see any way that offer is considered. Add Maclin and a 1st and you have a shot.

Witten is not nearly enough to make up the gap
DT > Alshon
JG > Jordy
You will need at LEAST a high 1st and Witten...or equivalent type value

yup. I would do that.

Should it matter if it would keep me from having a first for the next three years? (recently traded 2015 and 2017 first in a deal for Julio). I know there is plenty of time to get one down the road.

I am also in casual talks regrading trading for the 1.1 this year as well, which would have to include the 2016 first, should I hold off until I see if I can get that to help the rb situation or do you think I should just go with this?

I'd make this trade and not worry about RB. With Luck/Rodgers and Gronk/Graham and your WR corps, you can start Trent Richardson and Darren McFadden and still be super competitive.

Your lineup would be the top two quarterbacks, top two tight ends, and three of the top 5 receivers. I think that you would be OK with the running backs that you have
