What do you guys think? I would be getting Alshon to pair with Jordy and Evans. Team/league info in signature.

I think that's giving too much for Alshon. Wouldn't blame you if you did as I prefer to get my value into a few studs over spreading it out in depth, but you could draft an Alshon equivalent at 1.04 or 1.09 or Moncrief could pan out to be that good too.

Alshon equivalent? Kevin white or Parker? Come on :wall: When youre dealing with a proven stud(Alshon) and youre talking about "Could draft an equivalent" or "Could pan out", take the stud and dont look back.

This was my reasoning in offering him this deal for Alshon. Yes, I could get Cooper/Parker at 1.04 and probably a 2nd tier rookie RB at 1.09, but I'd rather have Alshon. I'm not that high on Moncrief. I acquired him for Ryan Mathews this year (Mathews was a FA after his injury), and I haven't seen much from him that suggests to me that he will solidify his role as the WR2 in that offense. I'd rather have a proven top-10ish WR in Alshon than a chance to hit on the two picks and Moncrief. Also, this allows me to have my two starting WRs and flex locked up while still having some unproven/high upside guys at WR like Bryant, Carter, and Blackmon.

Lets not try and go after Julio or Dez cause we MAY draft a guy just like him. If you have a chance to get young studs, you do it.

If the guy had a stronger starting lineup, I'd go for Alshon. Looks to me like his RBs are weak. Could draft a nice WR and RB to go with Moncrief.

As I said, I usually prefer the side of a trade with the single best player. There are exceptions.

I made a very similar deal last week. I gave up Moncrief / 1.04 / 2016 1st - and I couldn't be happier about it. Unless you're very early into a rebuilding process, take the proven stud.

I love Alshon as much as the next guy. But with that package, I'd aim higher first. See if you can't get Calvin, AJG, or Julio. Then go down a tier to Alshon, DT, Dez, etc.. but only if you have to. That's an awful lot to give up* for a near-stud.

*And I HATE Moncrief.

I actually had a a few different offers out to my league, and I traded Moncrief and the 1.09 for the 1.02. I told the Alshon owner the trade was no longer on the table since he was thinking about it, but I'd propose a different offer. What do you guys think about my 1.04 and both my 2016 1st round picks for Alshon and his 2.05?
