Big trade help

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big trade help

Postby Dilldog81 » Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:12 pm

Team is in sig and I have been planing for the future all season but my team has somehow won 4 straight games to screw up my draft picks. There's an owner in my league who is currently sitting in playoff position and he just lost Tate due to his release and is just getting Gordon back from suspension. His current starting RB's are A. WIlliams and T. Riddick. I was thinking about offering him Brees, Mathews, and Marshall to get Gordon and Luck from him. Am I shooting myself in the foot with this trade or do you guys feel its a lowball. Remember its a 16 team league so QB's are a hefty price.

I don't think he gives your offer a second look to be honest. Brees/Marshall are major steps down in dynasty value from Luck/Gordon (obviously assuming he stays out of trouble) and I don't think Mathews makes up the gap. Worth a shot and a good starting point I guess, but you might have to leave the QB swap out of the deal to get it to work.

Tate wasn't helping him much anyway and as an owner of Luck and Gordon in multiple leagues I would ignore your offer and not even bother to counter. Luck is way outplaying Brees and though still an unknown until he's actually on the field again Gordon can certainly equal or exceed anything that Marshall would do this year. And as an owner of a RB needy team making a playoff run {which I am in several leagues}, glass-jaw Mathews wouldn't even be a consideration for me to help my RB corps
