The problem with trading for Hyde right now is that his trade value is much higher than his current production. DLF rankings already have him between RB10-RB15 in dynasty, and he's not even startable yet. Owners also know that his value will continue to rise as we go through the end of this season and through the offseason. On the other hand, most buyers cant afford, or don't want to pony up and pay top 15 RB prices during the season for a player that will sit on their bench for now and not help them win games.

You have to think as Hyde owner, why would I trade Carlos for Torry Smith who is erratic and hit or miss and an RB from that cluster F that is the Saints backfield?

Just think like guy you are trading with and see if can come up with trade offer/deal. Maybe Throw in a draft pick as that always sweetens the pot.

My experience with Hyde owners has basically been that you need to turn over ownership of your entire roster to them in exchange for Hyde. He's a tough guy to trade for unless you're entering an all out rebuild and getting rid of multiple valuable veterans. I don't own Hyde, but if I did I would not accept your offer for him.

I think you need more, i traded him away just before the season started for Kelvin Benjamin and a 2nd but i think the hype was maybe a little higher at that point

good luck trying to get him...every time I deal with a Hyde owner they want a top 10 wr for him but his production just doesn't justify that. Plus with the rumors of San Fran getting a new coach this year they may not value him very high and target a rb in the draft since this years class could be really deep

Getting a new coach will not be the reason for drafting another RB. GM Trent Baalke has the final say in the personnel decisions, he and Harbaugh have never gotten along which is a main reason for the rumors of Harbaugh leaving. Jed York appears to be taking Trents' side and will not be giving that power to a different coach.

Hyde is nearly impossible to trade for. You haven't seen enough of him to be super confident yet the asking price is steep. Just too much risk at his current price.

considering gore's age and the team not having a great 3rd down back plus their history of drafting rbs recently having a new coach theyll continue that trend

Anybody who owns Hyde probably drafted him, and is still waiting to see what will become of him. He's playing more and more behind old-man Gore, so any Hyde owner would probably rather see what happens to Hyde, rather than take a pile of junk in return.

I managed a reasonable deal on him today.

Gave Andre Williams and 3rd for Hyde.

I guess the point was that the owner is contending and wanted Williams' immediate production over possible future production of Hyde.
Win-Win to me.
