Lamar Miller

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lamar Miller

Postby PJunior777 » Thu Oct 02, 2014 7:11 am

So how would you value him?

I'm using him as my RB2 over Spiller and Moreno says he has another 4 weeks to go.

Does he remain the lead back even when Moreno returns?

This guy hasn't averaged under 4.2 YPC since he came into the NFL, he has elite speed, how come people are low on him (other then the fact he disappointed many last year but it was a mess season for the fins).

Miller's undervalued right now. Problem is, everyone remembers what Moreno did early. So Miller's trade value still kind of stinks if you're selling him.

Miller could still be the lead back going forward. Moreno is on a one year deal and could bolt Miami for more money a la Reggie Bush.

I just traded for him for a 2015 3rd and a 2016 2nd if that helps. I think he is undervalued right now so I feel I bought him low.

Miller is undervalued , but the issue is more usage not results he's been very productive when given the chance. But the coaching staff has limited his usage an d I'm not sure why. Week 3 is the perfect example philbin decides to have tannehill throw 40+ times while miller was averaging 7yds/car on 15 carries game was 1 score in to the 4th qt.

Miller is not volume-dependent. He can break long runs and score from anywhere on the field. That said, if Miller gets the volume of carries he needs (18-22) based on talent, he'll be a high end RB2 with upside. If you find league mates valuing him lower than that, take a run at a deal.
Team about which I care most:

10 team Non-PPR and return yardage league
Requirements:
1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1TE, 1K and 3 flex (RB, WR or TE)

My team:
QB: Andrew Luck
RB: Lacy, Andre Ellington, CJ Anderson L. Miller, D. Martin, Vereen, Bryce Brown, Knile Davis, James White
WR: AJ Green, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, Michael Floyd, Sanu, C. Patterson, Allen Robinson (IR), Latimer, Martavis Bryant
TE: Gronk, Dwayne Allen
K: Cody Parkey

He gets red zone looks even when Moreno is in. When Moreno comes back he will still have value but will be a bit more boom or bust.

To be honest though RB is a nightmare position no matter what. Miller as a flex or miller as an RB2 in bye weeks (even when morneo is back) is a nice play.
