D. Wilson Offer

I put Wilson on the trading block the day the article came out that his rehab is ahead of schedule. I've received lots of offers, but most of them crap. I drafted him pretty late hoping I could flip him when his value inevitably goes up a little leading up to the season. However, the article that the Giants are likely making a RB a draft day priority worries me a little. I was initially holding out hope that I could get a late 1st rounder out of him. Would you take this deal?

Give: Wilson and 2.08
Get: 2.04 and 2.12 (probably going to counter 2.10 instead of 2.12)

Personally I'd hold him until you get a better deal. Assuming this is for your second team it would be tough for me to give up Wilson (and the possibility that he starts) for a few prospects when the only certainty at RB I had was Martin. Question marks surround Moreno and Miller and Davis is behind Charles. You aren't in a position to have to trade him so wait until you get good value. Perhaps counter with Wilson+2.08 for the other teams 2015 1st.

Thanks for the feedback. I will probably take a RB with one of my three 1st round picks (1.03, 1.06 or 1.07). I think whoever I take there will have as much risk or even less risk to produce the Wilson would. So I think between whoever I select there, Miller and Moreno I should be able to cobble together an RB2.

Any other opinions on whether this is a good deal or not?

I'd stay away from it. I think Wilson has far more upside than anyone you will get at those picks....

Just keep Wilson. his value really can't get much lower than it is already.
Trading him now is not going to improve your assets as much as Wilson in camp will. It will take one Rotoworld blurb about how awesome he looks and he will be almost 2X what he is today.

Wilson just got cut in our league....and the guy was receiving trade offers for him...so instead of taking a couple extra draft picks, he just cut him.

I would take this offer and run and never look back.

I'd take the offer. Who knows if Wilson will play again but even when he did play he didn't look very good.

He's a hold to me. I have him in 3 leagues and wouldn't do that. Whether they take another rb (which I do expect) or not, I don't expect a lot from him this year. They'll bring him along slowly until he's ready (ala Lattimore-albeit a completely different injury). If there's anything left in him (which I do believe he'll be back), it'll be 2015.

Id decline that and hold onto him. His value is at its lowest, if youre going to move him I think you have to at least wait until good news starts to come out of training camp when the hype builds back up

I would take the 2.04 and 2.12. Those have value and use in this deep draft. That plus Wilson has a SPINE issue. His value is down and rightfully so. That plus people are all in on the hype still. He's never done anything to get so hyped about, outside of fumbling, getting benched, and a few nice kick returns and handful of runs. Yes, he's explosive, but he is far from a lock and has significant risk. I'd hedge my bets with those picks.
