Hi Guys, I'm new here and just finished my first year in Dynasty. I need to cut down my roster and cannot decide on the last few spots.

Our scoring system is 1 PPR for HB's and WR's, 1.5 PPR for Te's.

I need to choose two players to keep from these guys.

HB Dennis Johnson
HB Fozzy Whitaker
HB Bilal Powell

WR Vincent Brown
WR Brandon Gibson

TE Jermaine Gresham
TE Timothy Wright

The 13 players I'm currently keeping are:

Brees, Foster, Rice, R. Bush, Bryce Brown, J. Franklin, D Bowe, Antonio Brown, R. Cooper, J. Maclin, V Davis, Z. Ertz, S. Gostkowski

Thanks for your help guys.

Do you NEED to keep a d/st and kicker?

Yes. Its in the rules. At least one kicker and one defense.

I would drop Dennis Johnson and Vincent Brown out of that set.

Thank you, did you mean keep those two? I can only keep 3 from that list, and one needs to be either the Browns or Texans defense.

Two Players:
Vincent Brown- He ain't dead yet
Timothy Wright- Generated some buzz, I like what the Bucs Franchise is doing this offseason.

Defense:
Browns based on 2013 ranking, but the Texans are only 1 year removed from being dominate.

* Can you wait till after the NFL draft and see what the landscape looks like then?

Oops, I misread you. I thought you had to drop 2 players.

Keep Tim Wright and I guess Gibson. I feel like you need more depth at WR over RB, so he's your better bet.

Both defenses are strong, but I have a hunch that the Texans are gonna draft Clowney. JJ Watt and Clowney on the same def is gonna be scary.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I forgot to mention in the original post that I have until February 28th to make my roster decision....so I'll be making these cuts somewhat blind. My thoughts/where I was leaning are as follows...

Houston Texans defense was one that I was very high on and thought that I would be keeping them for years. One of the main reasons was Wade Phillips. He tends to produce good fantasy defenses in my opinion. However, Phillips is now out and Romeo Crennel is now in....that scares me..not to mention after JJ Watt and oft injured Brian Cushing, who else do the Texans have? They finished dead last in defense with 71 fantasy points. Even

Cleveland Browns defense was one of my sleeper defenses going into next season. They were a roller coaster of ups and downs during the season and ended up 19th overall. CB Hayden is a stud, but one CB does't make a defense.

I think despite a dead last finish by the Texans, I'll hang onto them and possibly target a better FA defense in our draft like the Cowboy, Eagles, Bucs, or Patriots.

Fozzy Whitaker- Not sure if he's in the cards for them with Edwin Baker emerging late. He has a great name for fantasy football, but I'm nots sure if much else.

Dennis Johnson- Since i have A Foster, this guy is tempting to keep. He's young and with Tate presumably gone, he could take over if A. Foster's back acts up again.

Bilal Powell- He was my sleeper at HB last year and looked like he was going to have a big season, starting off with double digit fantasy points the first 4 weeks of the season, but then Chris Ivory got healthy and they gave him the starting spot despite Bilal performing so well. He's still young so could catch on somewhere else, but can I afford to keep him over these other players?

Vincent Brown- Promising young wr with a boatload of talent, if he could just stay healthy. San Diego found a gem in Keenan Allen last season, but with Floyd always injured and Alexander a FA, perhaps Brown could regain Phillip Rivers eye and become WR 1B along with Keenan Allen 1A.

Brandon Gibson- He was someone I snatched from FA as he was off to a solid season before injury. Tannehill was connecting with him out of the slot on a regular basis before his injury, but the questions that I have are will he be healthy next season and are there too many mouths to feed in Miami with Wallace, Hartline and Clay already for Gibson to ever amount to anything???

Jermaine Gresham- He's on his way out in Cincy which is great for his fantasy value. I initially drafted him with the thought to keep him in hopes that he end up in a good situation..maybe on NewEngland, GreenBay or Atlanta. I could see him traded this offseason, I just don't have the luxury of wait and see. Last season he didn't have 50 catches, 500 yards, or 5 touchdowns. I don't see his situation improving unless he is traded.

Timothy Wright- Came on the scene as a rookie last season. I spent most of my FAAB budget on him and Riley Cooper. Despite not starting the season, he finished as the top TE2, #13 overall. 54 catches, 500+ yards and 5 tds were nice rookie numbers, but I wonder if it was the result of no Doug Martin and Mike Williams rather than Wright's actual talent.

I'm thinking based on my breakdown, I'm still not clear on what I want to do.;-(

I think this is the way to go but, I find another league that doesn't have Kickers and team defense! Lol! Especially with crazy rules on having to keep one of each!!
To each their own!!!!

Id keep bilal powell and tim wright along with houstons defense. Alot of young bodies on that team that do t have big names yet such as dj swearinger and possibly clowney. Im an avid cleveland browns fan and theyre gonna focus on offense in the draft this year...and big possibilty they lose tj ward to free agency and the new coaching staff worries me because i think theyre gonna change the defensive scheme for the second year in a row. Sorry ill get off my soap box cleveland jus irritates me lol. But yea those are the ones id keep...
