New Team Advice

Hi Guys,

New to the forum, but long time fantasy player. Group of 12 guys who were continually playing redraft started our first Dynasty league this year. Want to get an idea from everyone about the makeup of my roster. Any players that i should potentially target to round it out. We are in a point per catch PPR. Keep your entire team if you want.

QB: Luck, Tanehill (just acquired in a trade for Rivers, also received Fred Jackson)
RB: McCoy, C. Johnson, Woodhead, F. Jackson, B. Brown, Da. Scott
WR: D. Thomas, T. Smith, D. Amendola, Julio Jones (IR), D. Avery, M. Sanu
TE: Fleener, G. Graham (Waiver this week) *Clearly my weakest position*
K: Gostkowski
D: Bengals

Trades i have already made:

J. Bell for D. Amendola
D. Murray for D. Thomas
F. Gore for C. Johnson and Woodhead
P. Rivers for Tanehill and F. Jackson

Potential trades:

-Owner has R. Rice, AJ Green and Gio Bernard
- Wants McCoy, T. Smith and C. Johnson

Owner has CJ Spiller, Dez Bryant and Bernard Peirce
Wants McCoy, Smith and Brown

I like the first trade, where you get AJG, Rice and Gio. I would do that deal and quickly before AJG lights up Buffalo this week and the offer gets pulled.

Agreed on the first trade, believe that Gio will be a PPR monster soon as well. I'd do that trade sooner than later.

Well went to accept trade 1 and it had been withdrawn with 2 new offers.

Rice, Green, Bernard, 2nd rounder

Now my options are

McCoy, Julio, and Johnson

or

McCoy, Thomas, Johnson

Dont know if im getting the same value here, giving up a julio or DT

I don't like it as much if at all. Maybe with a 1st rounder...counter him before AJG has chance to go off this week. If I were you, I'd see if he would take original deal with you throwing in a 2nd rounder. Def still worth it IMO

It's not bad...try for a 1st I'd say, but it i think it depends on where you rank Julio and AJG...lot of people were crazy high on him beginning of the year and are down on him because of bad QB play from Dalton, but still a top 4 WR in the league...so i couldnt blame you for taking it.

I don't like the newest offer nearly as much. You got two options really.

1. Talk him into giving you a 1st and then do the trade if you're high on Gio.
2. Wait and hope that AJG has another mediocre game, then you can probably get the original deal before next weeks games. This is risky, but part of being able to pull off big trades is luck and good timing.

Well we worked the following trade out right before the noon deadline. See what you all think

I gave McCoy, Thomas, and Smith

I got Rice, Green, Gio and a 2nd round pick next year.

As a HUGE Bengals fan i was obviously interested in Green and Gio from draft day but he took Green 5th overall (before megatron) and Gio in the third round.

Im feeling confident having Julio and Green as my primary receivers the following year, but it leaves me a little thin this year. Especially if and when Amendola goes down.

Im thinking about moving Chris Johnson or Fred Jackson for some help on receiver. Anyone you would target?

You gave up too much just to get some great players from your favorite team, in my opinion. You gave up 3 proven studs for one stud with a faulty QB, a RB on the decline, and hopefully a future PPR monster in Gio. I'm not saying that he destroyed you in the trade. But, you gave up more than you got. I like his side better.

What positions do you start every week? Assuming you can start all three of AJG, Julio, and Calvin, that could potentially be a very scary lineup despite relative weakness at RB and TE, especially if you can get away with only starting Gio if its a 1-2 RB 3-4 WR league.

Honestly Gio and Woodhead aren't bad ppr options.

We are a 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 K and 1 DST

So i can start all three as my 2 WR and Flex spots. Right now it will be Woodhead, Gio, Fred Jackson and Chris Johnson.

Although i did get an offer last night to move Chris Johnson and the pick that i got from my other trade for CJ. Spiller. He would look nice with Jackson
