AJ green for 1.01

Postby Skulls » Sat Apr 28, 2012 2:46 pm

my team is in signature..my sig is messed up and shows diff picks I owin 1.01 1.02 1,03
I plan on going Trich, RG3 and Martin to make my starting lineup look like this

QB RG3 or Cutler
RB Rice, TRich, Martin, (who I really like in Tampa) with Spiller on the bench. I like those backs alot that would leave me starting at WR

Maclin, Antonio Brown and Decker..

have been offered AJ Green for the number 1 pick..I really dont want to do it, because I like Trich and those RBs should be fine for years to come..but I would like to add to my wrs. Im not completely comfortable with them..

should I do the trade. or counter with what? I will leave link to rosters..right now I am saying no, I think unless I can get a little something back..what do you think

link to rosters http://football33.myfantasyleague.com/2 ... 15965&O=07

I am Amazon head shrinkers other team power linemen he has been after this pick for 2 weeks..what do you think I can get him to add to make it worthwhile to me..he wants a back bad!

thanks Skulls

As a Bengals fan i take AJ Green without an hesitation, he's worth a 1.1, it's already a top 3 WR and for a long time. More you've got 1.2 and 1.3 which you can use for Luck, T-Rich or Martin.

Tough call, you can really use another top flight RB. Depends on if you think TR is that type of player? 1.1 for Green is a coin toss IMO, you really can't go wrong. I think I'd stay put and add TR, but I'm less averse to risk than some.

Two great assets it a pick em. how do you value WR v.s RB? I think i prefer AJ to TRich but both will probably be great. so funny two huge OHIO based NFL fantasy stars.

I would try to package another player and/or pick with the 1.2 or 1.3 to try and get Green. Basically trying to figure out what it would take to get him to settle for Doug Martin.

May not be possible but I wouldn't do AJ Green for 1.1.

This struck me as kind of funny. You say you're risk averse, but you take the guy that's never played a down over the guy that's proved himself. I myself would rather have Green, but I prefer WRs. If Green was in this year's draft, I'd take him 1.1.

I would go with AJG...He's a top 3-4 Dynasty WR and has a longer self life.... TR "should' be a beast.... but could always bust...

This is so tough for me..if I stay at 1, I think my RBS are set for a while..and all 3 will be feature backs that play all 3 downs..I really do like that..I think my WRs are serviceable, and even though I like Maclin a lot, I I do not think he is quite a wr1, which of course AJ is...any more thoughts..Does TRich having to play the Steelers and Ravens twice a year factor into this..also I think Weeden makes that offense a little better..will TRich face 8 in the box his whole career? This is tough, but my gut tells me, I need a little more back..thx Skulls

i see this as pretty simple really.... Take Green. You're sporting a bunch of WR2's in your receiving corps. Green would instantly upgrade that group to where it should be. Your drafting Martin too so its not like you're not upgrading you RB situation also. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Considering your current roster I would make the trade. Both Green and T. Rich have potential to be studs for next 6-8 years. Martin has legit shot to be stud in Tampa. You don't have a WR1 , I think you should make trade.

I agree that you should take Green. He will definitely balance out your team and make you more of a contender after adding Martin. I would ask for the 2.04 or 2.11 in return as well. The 2.04 could get you another decent prospect, possibly at RB. The 2.11 could get you Bernard Pierce, if having Rice's handcuff would help you sleep better at night after making this trade.

I really appreciate all the replies..I am thi king hard about it. With RBS being so bad, do you think he might consider doing something with him giving up Jennnngs for Spiller...he is very weak at RB

seems you are set on idea of having both T. Rich and Rice as your starting rbs. You don't seem super high on Martin. If both these assumptions are true. Don't make trade 1.1 for Green. Don't think I would trade Jennings for Spiller but I am not high on Spiller. It's a solid offer just not sure where other owners value meter on Spiller or Jennings.
