Trade from 1.2 to 1.1

12-team PPR league, we start 1 RB, but have up to 5 flex spots (non-QB only). I originally bought the 1.2 draft pick, thinking I could get Trent Richardson because the team getting 1.1 had horrible QB's. However, that team just traded for Roethlisberger, so I'm hoping to swap the 1.2 for the 1.1 to ensure I can get TR. Here's our rosters:

DL: Fairly - Klug - Suh - Clayborn Tuck
LB: Durant - Phillips - Ayers - Angerer - Acho

Draft picks: 1.1, 2.1, 2.8, 3.5

His team has tons of holes, and he's particularly weak at LB, IMO. considering two potential proposals:

I give: 1.2, 3.2
I get: 1.1

or

I give: 1.2, Greenway or Sean Lee
I get: 1.1

Thoughts on these strategies or a different offer?

3.2 isn't nearly enough to move up. I can't really speak to the second deal, because I am unfamiliar with IDP.

Looking at his roster, I don't see any way that you will get him to move out of that spot unless you overpay by quite a bit. His running backs are terrible and he desperately needs Richardson.

Since you don't have a good RB to give him as part of the deal, I just don't see it happening for you, regardless of the offer. Maybe if you gave him Green of Bowe, but I'm not sure that would be a smart move on your part.

I recently took over a team, and coming from a SC league, it's probably a bit different than a traditional dynasty league...

But I traded up from the 1.2 for the 1.1
Gave: 1.2 ($4.5m for RB, $3m for WR / 5), Dez ($3.5m / 3), Ryan ($2.5m / 1)
Got: 1.1 ($5m / 5), 2.1 ($0.5m / 5), 2013 2nd ($0.5m / 5)

I gave up a lot, and at the time the makeup of my team wasn't what it is now as I've made additional trades since then, but I'm happy knowing that I'll have TRich on my team for the next 5 years to build around.

This is also my first time doing dynasty... So we'll see if it ends up working out in my favour

Seriously doubt it happens. You can bet he's planning On getting richardson, and for him the 3.2 isn't just compensation for missing out on te top RB. Once you get someone in a mindset that is set on a player, you have to overpay... This is grossly underpaying. I tabled talks of giving the 1.1 for 1.2 and a 2013 1st.

I like his QB situation better that his RB's, so thinking you will have to toss in your 3 picks at a minimum and hope for the best.
