St. Brown or Jacobs

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

St. Brown or Jacobs

Postby ryhan1014 » Wed Jan 19, 2022 6:52 pm

Feel like I have plenty of RB depth and have been offered the following trade:

I give: Josh Jacobs
I get: Amon Ra St. Brown, 2023 2nd

Would you do the trade?

QB: J. Allen, R. Wilson, D. Jones
RB: J. Taylor, S. Barkley, M. Sanders, Z. Moss, K. Mitchell, T. Spears
WR: T. Hill, J. Jefferson, T. Higgins, K. Allen, P. Nacua, D. Moore, T. McLaurin, Jameson Williams, Michael Wilson
TE: M. Andrews, D. Kincaid, D. Allen
K: J. Tucker
Def: Cowboys, Raiders

2019: 10-6 (Runner up)
2020: 11-4 (Champion)
2021: 15-2 (Runner up)
2022: 14-3 (Champion)
2023: 10-5

Not with your set up. You need the RB depth a lot more than another WR, in start 2 RB. Half PPR, St Brown's value drops a bit, too, compared to full.

Just updated my signature as I have Akers and Edmonds - does that sway your opinion at all?

I’d keep Jacobs. Not sold on St. Brown though

While I like st. Brown I don’t believe he’s a known enough quantity to trade jacobs for him and would go with jacobs in this overall scenario. The only plus is if that 2023 2nd might be early cause by the jacobs will be another year older and in a strong draft class an early 2nd could be semi valuable. But I’d keep Jacobs personally unless he was willing to give up a better piece than st. Brown and still offer the 2023 second
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex
1 point per first down
All tds 6 points

This is close for me on value but given the format I think you hold Jacobs here. Who knows where Edmonds lands/his role and while Penny and Akers are intriguing, they are also a risk.
