Threepeat or Rebuild?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Threepeat or Rebuild?

Postby vbbish » Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:09 pm

After a strong regular season I thought I was done for without Godwin and Nuk in the playoffs but Joey B propelled me to another championship.

Do I have what it takes to push for a third in a row or is it time to cut some age and start the rebuild. (Im not high on this draft class at all so would be looking to build for 2023 draft)

QB: Lamar, Burrow
RB: JT, Monty, CEH, Gaskin, Dillon, Cohen (IR)
WR: Godwin, Diggs, Nuk, Hollywood Brown, R. Moore, DPJ
TE: Andrews, Ertz, Kmet, Irv, Engram

2.03 & 2.11

Any thoughts on some moves for WR?? Getting a bit old there and I'm not sure we see godwin with the bucs next year. Nuk is falling off a cliff?

This could be a wait and see approach heading into next season. How Montgomery and CEH come out will be a big factor as well as the health of Godwin. Short answer, yes I think you could have a solid team but there are also what ifs here. Dillon could also make a jump in theory too. Outside of solid returns on the market, I think you roll into the season with this group. Making those you are willing to sell available may help see where the value is vs hoping all comes together also.

I would probably hold as well heading in to next season. Solid roster that should compete as long as the injuries don't pile up again.

Good team. Keep piling it on. Pad this team with a few productive vets before the trade deadline and make another run. Love winning it all but even 2nd and 3rd are nice prizes depending on how your league is set up. Roster looks ready again to me.

In a relatively shallow league like that one I see no reason to go into a rebuild with that roster. I do like the idea of moving on from Hopkins, so I'd put him out there and see what you can get. If you can get 2 firsts (even futures) I'd be happy with that, although I'm not sure that type of offer will be there at the moment. I'd hold Godwin for now. He's only 26 headed into next year and even if he goes elsewhere I still see him being a solid producer once he gets over his knee injury.

Hold, sell in season if it isn't working. Don't trade your 2023s just in case.

Not really what I meant by a vet. I'm more looking for the obj, Robert woods, Julio Jones type. If you can get aiyuk for one or both of those 2nds it's probably worth it given his age. I'd also probably look to make this move post NFL draft where your picks may have more value and the wr landscape may be a little clearer.
