Thoughts about this trade

Postby zaner75 » Fri Jan 14, 2022 9:47 am

Think I know where opinions will fall on this trade but interested to see them in any case (I'm not involved in the trade).

14 team PPR Superflex

Team A trades: Russell Wilson, Hunter Renfrow, Rex Burkhead, 2023 3rd

Team B trades: Josh Allen, Odell Beckham

Long term and current value is josh Allen in 14 teamer but I think Renfrow is an under rated asset so the if I needed 2 solid players I’d ask for a little more on the Wilson/Renfrow side

At this time, the Allen side but I love Renfrow. Depending on what happens with Russ, it could be closer.

Allen is the best piece but if Wilson rebounds, I think this could look different next year as Renfrow is a much better asset then Beckham.

I think id prefer the Allen side, but it's not by a lot. Russ has been frustrating the last couple of years. He'll be a world-beater for a stretch, and then he'll sink you for 6 straight weeks. If Russ lands in a good location this offseason I'd possibly reconsider, but if he remains in Seattle, i'm talking the Allen side for sure.

Pretty even as I think Renfrow is underrated and Wilson should bounce back but I’d personally prefer the Allen side by a good amount

Thanks for all of the input. This league uses owner vote to approve/veto every trade, majority of uninvolved owners. This was the first trade (league started in 2020, going into 3rd season) that was vetoed (6-2 at the time the veto was triggered). 4 owners, including myself, did not have a chance to vote. I didn't see the trade or votes until after it had all transpired. Stupid work 😋

The owner trading away Josh Allen has shown a history of making lopsided (against himself) trades. Guess the league took a stand even though there was no collusion. I think it was a severe underpay for a consensus top 4 dynasty superflex asset but wouldn't have vetoed.
Don't want to derail the thread with opinions about allowing vetoes or not. I have since made an offer for Josh Allen, giving more, in my perception, than that package but Allen owner hasn't been on to accept or decline as of yet.
