Another Travis Etienne Thread

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Another Travis Etienne Thread

Postby BabyChark23 » Wed Jan 12, 2022 11:28 am

Trying to acquire Travis Etienne and I think the Trade Calcs are lowballing what it would take by a lot. What do you think it would take? 12 Team PPR Superflex

Some potential pieces to use:
1.04 (rather not go there if possible)
2.01
Michael Carter
Allen Robinson
Several 23 2nds

Might be able to do Carter and a 23 2nd. then if you need to “add”, you can move the pick to the 2.01. Antoher option would be to include the 1.04 and get something extra back of nice value. That might be a good opportunity to get a more proven commodity.

I think the 1.04 is a bit steep as of now as well but I don't see getting him with a combo/package of the other assets on your list. There was just an update that he is fully healthy and with the Robinson injury I'm guessing the perceived thought is he will be a beast next year. He is a risky investment for a premium price with being an unknown, but I think his price is pretty hefty right now.

1.04 seems a little high unless you're 100% sold on Etienne. I think he's set up for a good 2022, but I don't know that I want to give up a SF1.04 right now.

I agree that the rest of your choice of offerings is not enough to get the job done. Even if offered all of Carter+ARob+2.01, I'd turn it down. I like Carter, but I have little interest in swapping ETN for him. I think ARob might be on the cliff - it would be a nice move if you could rid yourself of ARob in a deal like this, but good luck with that. The 2.01 has value, but not Etienne value IMO.

Make the 3fer offer and see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if the other guy counters with wanting the 1.04.

1.04 thru 1.07 is where he was being drafted last year.

To offer the same based on his foot injury is a bit steep.

Could try Carter plus either 2.01 or ARob. He was going top 4 in my 1 QB drafts last year in a stronger class. I wouldn’t consider any of those straight up including the 1.04 for my share.

I tend to agree with the Carter +2.01, but it would depend on the other teams build if he would accept that. If ETN is one of his starting RB's you would probably get a no for an answer.
Team 1: 16 Team
QB's: Fields, Wentz,
RB: D. Harris, D. Montgomery, Kendre M.
WR: Chase, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Waller, J. Woods, Dulich, Mayer

Team 2: 12 Team SF 1ppr, Start 10
QB: Mahomes, Burrow, Watson
RB: Hall, Walker, Javonte, Pacheco, K Mitchell, Dobbins
WR: Godwin, JSN, Pittman, Pickens, Toney, DP Jones, S Moore
TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr
QB: AR, Watson, Young, Levis
RB: ETN, Walker, Pierce, Akers, Pacheco, Herbert, Warren, Kelley
WR: G. Wilson, Higgins, Godwin, Kirk, Bateman, Collins, Doubs, Chark, Shaheed,
TE: Schultz, I Smith, Bellinger, Parham, Fant, Likely, Granson,
