Alexander Mattison Trade???

In one of my Dynasty Leagues a league mate is wanting Mattison to try and win this year, he also has D. Cook.

I'm playing for next year and beyond so looking at

A. Mattison
2024 3rd round pick

for

2024 1st round pick

Would you trade away Mattison for this? My other RBs are...

I would not. Not only is the pick 3 years away (lol), you’re giving capital on top of him. I’d trade for a 22 1st or better. Or wait till he goes crazy this week and sell for more.

That's a long ways out. I'd think you could get a solid upgrade or earlier 1st from a dalvin owner. If your making the playoffs...I'd keep him and hope for the best if you can't get a good trade. He could be a league winner.

A 1st closer is solid value but it is also a long way out. I would need something on top for help a bit sooner as well. The pick will eventually get here and have value but it's fair to ask for an add here.

2024 1st is of zero interest to me. Easy pass.

It would need to be a 2022 or 2023 1st to move Mattison right now. I know the news on Dalvin was optimistic yesterday, but the reality is if Minnesota loses another game or 2 there won't be any sense in getting Cook back on the field this season, which would leave Mattison to be a true rest of season RB1. That's how you should be selling him to the rest of your league mates right now. And do it publicly to put more pressure on the Cook owner.

On the bandwagon here, pick it too far out for me. If he's competing and has Cook he needs to add Mattison here, who has shown he can post similar numbers.
