Trade Burrow for Lamar

Postby MyTeam » Mon Oct 25, 2021 11:35 am

Team 2 Below

100% favorite to win the league. 7-0 most PF and max PF

What do you think the difference between Lamar and Burrow is? I am higher on Burrow than most and have him as QB7.

I have an offer of:

Give: Burrow and one of my top 5 WRs
Get: Lamar Jackson and Robert Woods

Would you do this AND if you would, which WR would you pick?
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,
Engram, Kmet, Firkser, Schultz, Arnold, Herndon

Jackson has the higher upside but I think Burrow can be elite too. If I had to choose between the two, I would go with Jackson because of his ceiling. I think McLaurin would be my choice to move but all five are tough to move...

I’d hold. The difference in the QBs is much smaller to me than any of those receivers with McLaurin being easily the lowest of the 5 for me.

I really like the idea of upgrading but I don't know who to send. I was thinking McLaurin but he is WR10 right now and has been easily outplaying Ridley, who is also older. So I was almost thinking Ridley? They are all so good that it is a huge advantage for me each week and I think Burrow is elite so I am almost leaning towards holding. I really don't know what to do

I don't think I would make this move, especially since you are already a strong contender (though RBs are a bit of a concern). But if I did, I'd lean moving Ridley over McLaurin. McLaurin is a year younger and his size is a better fit for the alpha role.

Jackson’s ceiling may be slightly higher but you have to wonder about how long he’s going to be success essentially playing like a RB. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him follow a RB career trajectory.

RB- Bijan Robinson, T Pollard, Allgeier, Charbonnet, Achane, J Wilson, Kelley, K Williams

All those WRs are too much to add and overshoot the gap between Burrow/Lamar.

No reason to overpay for Lamar even if he's a better fantasy QB. Burrow is a gunslinger he'll be fine.

long term would rather have burrow......and no need for two LA WR's so if trade give Kupp and ask for something else back....

But my advise is to hold....Burrow is where you want to be long term!
