AJB for Saquon?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

AJB for Saquon?

Postby KCLep20 » Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:37 am

Let me first say I have always lived by investing in WR…in years past I had Megatron, Julio, AJG and DT for a few year stretch. With that, I never quite won the ship surprisingly enough. I then traded up for Gurley and surprise surprise I won twice in 3 years and came in 2nd the other year.

I feel like I’m at that same point now with Cede, DK and AJB. I also have Mike Williams who is blowing up but my FB’s are super think behind Chubb. If I can pull of a swap or AJB for Saquon, should I do it?

There are some other parts but these are the main components.
1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1Flex (RB/WR/TE)/1 Superflex (QB/RB/WR/TE)

12 team PPR with 14 Keepers/year
2023 Draft Picks: 1.04, 1.05, 1.11, 3.04, 3.07, 5.04
QB: L.Jackson, J. Burrow, G. Minshew, J. Winston
RB: J.Mixon, ETN, Jav.Williams, J.Conner, Z.Moss, JK Dobbins (IR), N.Chubb (IR)
WR: AJB, CD Lamb, DK, C.Sutton

I am curious how this works out cause I have a similar situation involving AJB and Alvin

I would rather hold Brown personally but I understand team need here. Barkley cant stay on the field and is a risky investment long term. Of course if he comes back healthy and elite for a handful of years, this trade looks great. I would hold though.

Until the market meets production, I am not buying Barkley. I would be looking for another target.

Agreed - there are better RBs to target for a prize like AJB. The #1 trait is still availability, and that is where Barkley fails.

I agree with moving AJB (or any of your WRs) for a RB1, but I would not pursue the AJB-for-Saquon deal. Personally, I was past the point of concern with Barkley. I'll take a chance on him for the right price, but I think AJB is too high a price.

If you're determined to get a RB1 and no other deal is available, it will simply come down to how confident you are that Barkley will remain healthy. If healthy, he is definitely worth it.

Hey Guys - Just a heads up that talks stalled over the weekend and we opted to wait until games were over. My team is now needing DK and the Saints D to produce tonight or I may lose, putting me at 2-5 on the year. If that happens, I'll probably hold as this year is shot and plan for next year and with that, stick with AJB as the long-term plan. The same owner that has Saquon also has CMac and said he'd be open to trading him too, but part of me worries about his mounting injuries now too....

More to come, but appreciate the feedback.
