D’Ernest goes to camp

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

He has very little value based on who he plays behind. Very short term window in value or usage.

He's worth maybe a 3rd round rookie pick. He's a 25 year old UDFA RB behind Chubb and Hunt, and will be back behind those guys again very soon. Chubb could be back next week. Very little dynasty value.

He's probably worth a 4th, maybe a late 3rd. He's buried behind Chubb and Hunt on the depth chart, and with both of those players getting back into the fold at some point in the next few weeks I don't see much of a path for Johnson for be productive beyond the next week or 2, if that.

The only silver lining for Johnson is that he is an RFA this offseason and given the fact that Chubb and Hunt already have real contracts for 2022, it is likely that he lands with another team next year. Maybe he ends up in a spot where he can be part of a committee and earn the majority of the RB reps, but that feels like best case scenario. Significant RB break outs typically don't happen after the age of 25.
