Khalil or Irv?
Gotten a trade offer to give up Khalil Herbert for a '22 2nd. I'm not interested (big fan of Herbert), but the other owner needs an RB with Chubb out and I'm wondering whether to counter with Herbert for Irv Smith. I do have Pitts, but it's a 16-team league and I'd like to find one more young, reliable TE (hard to find), and I assume I'll be prioritizing RB in the next draft anyway.
Team 1: 16-team dynasty, non-PPR, 20-man roster, $450 salary cap (w/o contracts) with salaries that increase 10% every year.
Starters: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, K, DST
QB: Lamar Jackson ($23), Mac Jones ($15), Jake Browning ($10), Jameis Winston ($10)
RB: Bijan Robinson ($36), Breece Hall ($29), Zack Moss ($19), Justice Hill ($11)
WR: Ja'Marr Chase ($29), CeeDee Lamb ($32), Chris Olave ($21), Jahan Dotson ($21), Rashod Bateman ($20), Kendrick Bourne ($10)
TE: Dalton Schultz ($12), David Njoku ($30), Juwan Johnson ($11), Jonnu Smith ($10)
Taxi: QB Jake Haener, RB Chris Brooks, WR Dontayvion Wicks, WR Derius Davis, TE Brenton Strange
2022 Runner-up, 2023 Champion
2024 picks: Rd 1, Rd 2, Rd 3, Rd 5
2025 picks: Rd 1, Rd 3, Rd 5 (x2)
2026 picks: Rd 1, Rd 2, Rd 3, Rd 4, Rd 5

I do not view Herbert as a good long term option at all and would still rather have Smith Jr over a random 2nd next year. I still expect Smith Jr to make a jump or hit.

Smith isn't a reliable TE. Not sure he ever will be. I'd prefer the RB who's shown he can produce as a lead back.

Foodie. Mild sauce goes in the trash. Well done steak goes with it.
Habaneros make the best hot sauce. Throwing a bunch of random stuff on top of fries doesn't mean you call it "poutine".

Easily Irv here for me, Chicago RB situation is a perennial mess together with two solid options ahead of Herbert. Irv plays in position of scarcity, on strong offense and has flashed. Pretty easy for me.
