Evans vs MT

Postby Moizoos » Thu Oct 21, 2021 9:56 am

Team 1 in signature.

The Mike Evans owner is throwing in the towel this year, and is inquiring about a trade for my Michael Thomas. I'm currently in 2nd and trying to repeat champ this year. Should I make the move to get Evans or hold Thomas?

Thomas is a golden ticket at this point but also an incredibly risky one. If he comes back elite and consistent, this deal could look pretty bad. Evans is a very solid WR but also disappears in games. The thing that made Thomas so good is his floor was one of the best in fantasy. If you want to take all the gamble out and play it on the safe side, Evans is great value for Thomas despite his ups and downs where we currently are.

Its a Gator Sens day for me as my second quoted comment in as many minutes. But I agree with the philosphy here. Although if i'm in the same situation, I probably hold MT.

I own both and while Evans (as an absolute no doubt stud IRL) can produce the occasional week-winning score, he is so frustratingly inconsistent that I’d rather take the chance on Mr Frustrating himself MT. As someone above said, his (very historically consistent (when he plays)) floor is so nice to bank on, Id rather gamble on that potential surety.
