Swift for Mac++

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Swift for Mac++

Postby timeEd32 » Tue Oct 19, 2021 1:48 pm

SF, Team 2 below

This is part of a 3 team deal so a little complicated, but this would be my portion. Thoughts?

Give: Swift, Rondale
Get: Mac Jones, 2022 1st (likely late), 2023 1st (prob late but who knows), Corey Davis

Mac has been better than expected and while I think his ceiling is probably still a top-end QB2 I really like getting a third QB. I especially like it because the '22 QB class seems pretty meh at the moment and I think it gives me a lot of flexibility heading into the draft. I'll probably have ~1.03-1.04 so I could take the best non-QB, trade down, etc.

Essentially three 1sts + for Swift. If you are a big believer in Jones, I could see taking the deal long term but this leaves you with zero RB's. Your orphaned inherited team needs a lot of work, so you have to make sure all the trades you make are solid. Have you shopped Swift to the league?

I am as high as anyone on Swift so I am not dealing him lightly. But realistically 2023 is the earliest this team could possibly compete. I think it’s too risky to hold him for that long.

The part I don’t like is swapping Moore for Davis. Trying to figure out another way.
