Blow it up??? Need help please……..

Team 1

I’m 1-5. Injuries, underperformance, and a few wrong lineup decisions by yours truly has me seriously doubting weather or not this is a team I want to continue into the future with. Chubb, Gibson, Moore, Hollywood, Higgins and Hock are all young assets I thought could possibly set my team on a path to compete. That’s not happening. I really need some honest truth about the roster I’ve constructed and opinions on what you would do with it if it were yours. Thanks.

Wow, shocked your team is only 1-5. Usually teams have a player or two that are "older" and you can move for picks / players, but your team is solid and young. I'd stick with what you have, maybe put in a few "wrong" lineups again and get the highest draft pick possible. The only other thing I'd think about doing is a 2 for 1 trade with someone that is a middle of the road team, possibly a buy low on a player.

I’ve already moved players like AB, and Patterson Stafford etc.
I traded Stafford for C Kirk, K Cousins and a ‘23 #2,
CEH and M Ryan for Patterson and Darnold
AB for Zack Moss
Flipped Moss and Patterson for Hollywood and Marshall jr
Flipped Marshall Jr, Cousins and Diggs for Moore, Russ and a 23 #2 and here I sit

I'd write the year off due to a plethora of injuries and run it back in '22 with most of the same personnel. If I were going to try and compile assets, I would trade Darnold after Wilson back or sooner if there's any starting QB around (doubtful in a 16-team, I expect). I am also not a believer in Hollywood Brown and would move him while his stock might be at an all-time high. I know it's only a 1 RB league, but that depth scares me and I would try hard to get another one (even if that's in next year's draft) because you can't have too many. Just a two cents here...

I’d maybe start to consolidate Bateman/Kirk/Gallup into something better.

Really nice build overall for a 16 team league. I dont think you blow it up unless you can get a huge haul for Chubb and Wilson. Your other assets are young and there likely is no real point to sell. Again, outside of a haul, I think a blow up is unnecessary and could really set you back. Sounds more like a tough year than anything. Stay patient here.

Well if it's a cap league, understanding the cap will be important. I'll just write my thoughts and then if the cap would have influence on anything you can respond and we can adjust. 16 teamer 1QB with shallow starting requirements boosts the value of QBs and wrs imo. RB really don't matter too much to me here. Top tier TE will be very helpful.

RB Nick Chubb Antonio Gibson Devontae Booker Marlon Mack
Yeah some more depth here would be good. Chubb certainly is your RB1. I have not been a fan on Gibson and he seems to be proving me right. I'd look to sell him. Unfortunately with his current injury that makes it harder, though another rebuilding team with rb need may be interested. Booker you should sell to a contender. Mack is a hold.

WR DJ Moore Tee Higgins Hollywood Brown Rashad Bateman Christian Kirk Michael Gallup
Nice group with moore and brown leading the way. Other guys are flex options and upside guys. Don't think there is much to do here. I'd rather keep these guys unless you get overpaid.

TE TJ Hockenson Tyler Conklin
I like hock, but he's on a team with a bad QB, no other real options, and likely going to have a rookie next year. If you're in a rebuild I'd keep him. Had you started out 3-3 or better I'd say try to move him for waller. I'd shop Conklin.

Overall, looks like it's been injuries and bad luck. You have a perfectly fine team for a 16 teamer. The only thing I'd say is that you need more RB depth. Again I'd shop Gibson even now with the injury. I'd also look to acquire Hunt now to lock up the Cleveland backfield. Additionally if you don't sell Gibson, once he comes back I want to get mckissic.

Those backfields where you have effectively a 1a and 1b on the team you want the entire backfield so that you beenfit from an injury while still being able to play both.

This kind of has been my intention, however I’m waiting for Gallup and Bateman to get healthy and hopefully show out a bit and hopefully move them to a contender.

The CMC owner in my league has asked for Gibson, Higgins and my 2022 first (likely top 3) for McCaffrey. Honestly this feels like a big overpay based solely on CMC’s recent injuries that are now running consecutively throughout 2 seasons. Does this move hurt my team or is this a move I make and don’t look back? I’ve already punted 2021.
