Mike Williams is the wrong age for me to make this trade. If he was 25 that'd be a different story.

The deal breaker here is his contract. The assumption that he's going to be married to Herbert now and had his cheat code unlocked is a dangerous one.

Big body X WRs don't age well. I think we're seeing his peak value as we speak.

For me, yes, the ‘23 class is shallow, maybe not so shallow that 1.03 is bad per se, but look at the DEVY for next year and consider who you might choose. Just saying “1.03” isn’t some magical abstract value, we don’t know exactly who that player will be yet, but we are close enough now to know who the top prospects are next year.

Either way, I honestly think Mike is at least = to a random R1 based on known quantity, talent, and expected future QB play. If he keeps this up you could easily trade him for an R1 right before trade deadline this year too ‍♂️

PS. Ask yourself what is the BEST asset in the trade… if you think a ‘23 R1 is better than Mike, by all means attach yourself to the best asset. I personally don’t think coaches let talent like him walk, especially with Keenan’s age working against him, but that’s just me.
