WR Swap plus some

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

WR Swap plus some

Postby Never Veto1 » Thu Sep 23, 2021 8:33 am

14 Team PPR. I've been offered the following. I generally start 2 RB's and 4 WR's.

Give: Jeudy and early 2nd
Get: Antonio Brown, Claypool, and mid 3rd

Team:
QB - Allen, Stafford
RB - Cook, Sanders, Fournette, White, Ingram, Cohen
WR - Godwin, Kupp, Thielen, Jeudy, Cephus, Osborn, Hilton
TE - Gronk, Gesicki, Bryant

I'm thinking of removing his 3rd and the 2nd, and then adding my 2nd which should be late. So the trade would change to the below offer. Does that seem fair?

Give: Jeudy and late 2nd
Get: Antonio Brown and Claypool
12 Team 1QB PPR
8 Starters - QB 1, RB 2(4), WR 3(5), TE 1(3)

QB - Kyler Murray, Derek Carr, Kenny Pickett
RB - Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Kyren Williams, Travis Etienne, James Conner, Antonio Gibson, Chris Rodriguez
WR - Tee Higgins, Jordan Addison, Michael Pittman, Nico Collins, Rashee Rice, Christian Watson, Jerry Jeudy, Rashod Bateman
TE - Sam Laporta, Kyle Pitts, Darren Waller, Isaiah Likely
Picks - 2.10, 3.10, 4.10, 5.10

I would much rather hold Jeudy in both cases. I think Jeudy will be reliable week to week once back healthy whereas I view Claypool as boom or bust and Brown is at the wrong end of his career to play much of a factor in the deal.

In that case what type of Pick would you be offering for Brown, I would like to throw him in as my 4th WR and for depth once Jeudy and Hilton are back

Jeudy here. Both Claypool and Brown can be argued at times as the 3rd, or 4th in Browns case, option on their team.
12 Team 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1Flex, 5IDP
QB: Rodgers, Love
RB: Achane, Gibson, Dillon, Sanders
WR: Jefferson, Lamb, G Wilson, Rice, JSN, Burks
TE: Goedert, Likely, Musgraves
2024 Picks: 1.04, 1.05, 1.11

16 Team 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex
QB: Stafford, Fields
RB: Gibbs, Singletary, Dallas, Juszczyk
WR: Lamb, Burks, G Wilson, JSN, Q Johnson, Hardman, Goodwin
TE: Dulcich, Albert O, Gray, Granson

I'm probably not the best reference for this, but I would not pay more than a late 2nd at most for Brown. I don't trust Brown and despite his week 1, I think he is a very distant 3rd on his team for the best WR option.
