Bryan Edwards value?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Bryan Edwards value?

Postby NFL123 » Tue Sep 21, 2021 12:56 pm

Just managed to trade for Bryan Edwards by giving away Jakobi Meyers. Happy with the trade as Edwards could have a big total so far this year, if he didn't have the 2 TD's called back. Meyers just seems like an average every day WR, Edwards could be special, it feels like it's worth the risk.

Anyway, I'm still wondering whether to try and flip Edwards for a pick. What would you guys value him at, whether it's 2022 or 2023 picks. Thanks!

I would rather have Edwards moving forward, so I like that deal. I would hold Edwards and see how he develops outside of a 1st which is extremely unlikely. Carr is back to thrown the ball really well dating back to last season and that depth chart is wide open past Waller.

This one is tough. I feel like his talent isn't worth selling for picks... BUT.... I feel like his usage is going to be a real problem. It feels like a long way off from trusting him in a weekly lineup even though the talent is there. I'd probably sell for an early 2nd + 3rd type of offer and then use those picks as currency for other moves.

Edwards is not the type of player I’d be selling just for a pick. The best you could reasonably hope to get is a late 1st, and for that price, I’d rather just hold the bird in the hand.

If you’re trying to contend, you could try moving him for an aging win-now WR like Thielen or AB. Otherwise, I’d just hold unless someone comes to you with a stupid overpay.
