Amari + 2022 1st for Diggs?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I don’t get the Cooper hate!

Sure, we shouldn’t extrapolate those 4 games, but I think it might be safe to use his per game stats over the 29 games he’s played with Dak.

It comes out to 100-1360-8 or something, over a 17 game season. And we’ve seen 80-1100-6 as pretty much a baseline, every year of his career save the last couple in Oakland

Only dig I can take at him is his clunkers, some of which are in the playoffs. But, I find that hard to predict, and plenty of other top end WRs poop the bed in the playoffs. I will never forgive Keenan Allen lol.

It's not hate, it's production. Just looking at their last three years, Diggs has averaged more catches, yards and TD's than Cooper and that is including some Vikings seasons. Although I am not sure Diggs will replicate the 166 targets he received last year, I expect him to continue to out target and out produce Cooper.

Right, Diggs>Cooper. Not by a 1st though imo.

May be an agree to disagree situation, but I believe Diggs is >> better the Cooper and random 1sts in a 1 QB don't move the needle that much for me.

Revisiting this after a couple of weeks off since as I expected the other owner is trying to sweeten the deal a bit by adding his (probable late) 2nd round 2022 pick to his 1st rounder and Amari Cooper for Diggs. After trading my 4th overall (Pitts) to him during the draft I kind of expected a bump from him.

All of the points made by the various people who answered earlier were valid ones. It seemed to be a close call between the value of Amari plus a 1st versus the stack of Allen/Diggs for TD's. Strangely enough, if I didn't mentioned it earlier, the offering owner has Dak so he's losing his stack in this offer.

Any additional thoughts? Thx as always.

I wore out my Diggs drum last year as people predicted him to be mediocre and a sell candidate. Do not under any circumstance move him. He will out perform last year. He is being underrated again this year stay with him you wont be disappointed.

As someone who owns both players in a 1QB league I would need an early 1st with Cooper in exchange for Diggs.

I own both and while Coopers first 4 games last year were good, they were not as good as Bryce Brown putting up 347 rush yards and 4 scores in a 2 game span in 2012. I just wish I had a stack with that!

After all of our chatting here about the stack situation on my team with Josh/Diggs, the offering owner changed his to Dak/Amari, 2022 1st/ 2nd. Talk about swapping stacks....

I have Dak elsewhere and assuming he is 100% I like him just fine but feel there's a fair amount of risk in his offer. His picks will probably be late as I'm assuming he'll make the playoffs with his roster. I can always counter asking for a RB/WR that's worth a 1st/2nd but I don't think he'll be interested. Of course if he wants to trade me back Pitts who I traded him for Aiyuk/Sermon and a late 3rd (Dez Fitz who I had to drop on cut down last week), maybe that might make things more interesting...

We are comparing a guy who totally dominates targets in BUF, with no competition from WRs, TEs, or RBs, to a guy who has two very talented WRs next to him (Lamb and Gallup), a maven in Zeke, plus Jarwin and Schultz. Their talents may well be on par, but the situations are vastly different.
