CEH+ for 1.02?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

CEH+ for 1.02?

Postby Randomguess » Wed Aug 04, 2021 8:01 am

Would you consider offering a trade to obtain the 1.02 with this team?
1 QB, 1/2 PPR, 12 man league. We can start at minimum 1 RB, max 3 RBs. I have not made all my cuts yet. Not super flex.

QB: Murray
RB: JT, Swift, Dobbins, CEH, Mostert, Wilson, Moss
WR: Lamb, DK, Kupp, Mclaurin, Deebo, Campbell, Reagor
TE: Kittle, Hockenson

Picks: 1.04, 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10

I would like to walk away with Chase and Pitts from this draft if possible. I think CEH will be better this year so i'm not desperate to move him. Harris will be the first pick in the draft. The owner of 1.02 and 1.03 are desperate for RBs so I think Pitts will be there at 1.04. I would offer CEH for the 1.02 straight up, but would like to know if others think that I should even be considering this trade with my current team build. I think I can compete for the title this year so it doesn't always make sense to trade away a semi-proven asset for a rookie. But I think with Chase and Pitts my team is solid for the next 3-5 years. If you like the idea of trading away CEH for the 1.02, do you think that's enough and if not, what else would you offer? Or just start with CEH and see where it goes? Thanks

With already owning Taylor, Swift and Dobbins, I would have no issue moving CEH for the 1.02 and taking Chase. I think Chase is a much better prospect and asset and will be worth more long term than CEH. The 1.02 seems like fair value for CEH in my opinion, so anything on top is a bonus.

I agree with Gator, but I see no reason for you to take Pitts at 1.04. You have 2 top 5 TE's already rostered. If Pitts is on the clock when your 1.04 comes up, sell to the highest bidder.

Agreed. Pitts is not the pick at the 1.04. Shopping the pick is a great call based on Pitts massive current value.

I have definitely kicked around the idea of trading out of that spot. I have also considered trading Kittle for an elite WR and then sticking with Hockenson and Pitts for the future. Kittle has been hurt a lot, but he is still an elite producer when he's on the field, so it's by no means a slam-dunk smart move to trade him away. I think Kittle still gives me the best chance at winning it all this year. But i'm curious what others think about this.

I have him too and I’m going to try to be a seller, provided the price is right. To all the points you mentioned. Just not sure if that’s before our draft or early in the season or late, if he makes it there. Obviously, the most value would be if he’s having a good season going into the trade deadline but don’t want to wait too long either. Be interested to hear others’ thoughts.

I would offer Dobbins for the 1.2 over CEH before people find out Dobbins is not an RB1.

I think Kittle is a little reckless with his body. I think now is a great time to get off him for the right price.

What makes you think Dobbins is not an RB1? Not arguing with you, just curious.

Opportunity is a challenge. Limited red zone touches and limited catch opportunities. He has RB1 talent potential, but don’t think he will get there.
