Entering rebuild and looking to trade Chubb

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Entering rebuild and looking to trade Chubb

Postby NicksDynastyAcct » Fri Jul 23, 2021 9:05 am

Entering a massive rebuild. His Waddle/Devonta Smith/2nd for my Nick Chubb. If a no, how far off in value is this?

12 Teams | 1PPR | 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/2FLEX

QB: J. Goff

RB: CEH / N. Chubb / T. Etienne / Da. Johnson / T. Pollard / S. Michel / E. Mitchell / J. Funk

WR: C. Lamb / B. Cooks / J. Meyers / Q. Cephus / G. Davis / T. Johnson (Bucs) / S. Williams / C. Powell / T. Wallace / E. Sanders

TE: J. Cook / A. Trautman / J. Harris

Traded other pieces and now went from no picks to multiple firsts in 22, 23, and 24. Many of these bench guys were throw ins due to lineup space and I hope to be able to move a few during the season for additional picks.
12 Teams | 1PPR | 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/2FLEX

QB: J. Love / J. Goff / G. Smith

RB: CMC / A. Ekeler / T. Etienne / K. Walker / B. Robinson / C. Akers / E. Mitchell / E. Wilson / J. Mason / T. Davis-Price / K. McIntosh / J. Mclaughlin / P. Taylor

WR: C. Kupp / T. Higgins / S. Diggs / D. London / K. Allen / K. Toney / T. Thornton / K. Boutte / J. Shorter

TE: K. Pitts / D. Goedert

In a major rebuild, I can see the value here but I'm high on Smith and have hope for Waddle. There are no sure things here which when moving a stud is risky however.

As a Chubb owner I would think long and hard about that. You will be really thin at RB but if you have the draft capital to remedy it I think you make the move.

I have 2 firsts in 22, 23, and 24 and then some random other picks scattered throughout.

I really would want a 1st not a 2nd if I am moving Chubb. I am higher on Waddle than Smith, but I expect one of them to hit
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Its tempting. Chubb should be worth more, but realistically at this point in the season this is probably what you will get. I'd try to squeeze a bit more out.

I could see both Smith and Waddle have slow starts (mainly due to hurts and tua), while chubb should eat early this season. Basically, dont be in a rush if you don't get what you want.

Would you trade Chubb in the offseason for two mid firsts and a 2nd? I don't think I would. One of those WRs would need to hit big time for this work out for you.

Like it was said earlier, this is 2 mid 1sts and a 2nd for Chubb.
The thing is that neither of those players are sure fire studs. You could very easily end up with 3 JAGs, and then you traded Chubb for nothing.
I wouldn't do it. If you want a WR then go hunting for DK or JJ. Other wise I would just be looking for some more 1sts.
10 team dynasty began 2016
Standard scoring (no PPR, all TDs 6pts)
Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 Def

2021 2nd
2022 *co-champ...yuck

I’m higher in Waddle than I am on smith, so I would be looking at Waddle + at least a first if I was shipping off Chubb.
