Taxi claim on etienne?

We can put taxi claims on taxi squad players. The value is determined by they’re draft position in our league. I can put a claim for him. My soonest picks are 2024 so it would be 1st and 2nd round for him. What do u think about giving up a 1st and 2nd for him?

For picks in 2024..........he'd already be on my roster. Even if he turns out to be just ok, it is totally worth the risk here.

To clarify it’s your “earliest” picks available for the correct price based on draft pick. Being a first round pick he’s worth a first and 2nd round pick if claiming. My earliest first and 2nd are in 2024. I’m not choosing them as my furthest picks out. I know it sounds dumb just hearing 2024 picks, but the owners who trade future picks pay 100% in advance for those seasons they’re trading their picks for. I’d be putting my $ where my mouth is and paying outright for season 2024 if that claim were to go through.

It's a dumb rule no matter what. Infact it insentivizes people to trade away picks.

I hope that he has the option of bringing Etienne up to the active roster instead of getting your valueless picks.

Are you sure there is no additional taxi rule that allows the owner to block the claim by promoting to active roster? Typically in offseason you can move guys in and out of Taxi without penalty.

Oh he can promote him. A claim is just that. He’s got 48 hrs to promote or let the claim move forward. You don’t just get a guy you’re claiming straight up. My question more revolves around is etn worth A 1 & 2, when word is he could be a 3rd down back. Not thrilled to give up a 1 & 2 for the next Hines

If your claim went through and you aren't fond of him, you could still trade him away for 2022 1st + 2nd probably to someone that likes him.
