I am drafting from the 1.02 in an interesting format:

8 Team

0.5 PPR; 1 QB; 2 RB; 4 WR; 2 TE (Prem - Full PPR); 2 FLX (1 is SF)


I am thinking of starting with CMC. The strategy i have so far is that because you're going to have to sacrifice something with this format, i will sacrifice what is most easily acquired in future rookie drafts e.g. RB and WR. I think that if Kelce, Kittle, Waller, Pitts are there rd. 2 and 3 I will be taking 2 back to back after CMC assuming that no stud QB is falling.

If anyone is interested/ available to give advice as i draft let me know and i will post everything here. If not, no worries. Appreciate the help and advice as always guys.

I love your thought process about taking the position less easy to draft or trade for, and I'm in a start up draft right now where I had the same thoughts doing a productive struggle. Grabbed 5 QBs and Pitts in the first 5 rounds.(6pt passing td).

In an 8team league I wouldn't touch qb for a few rounds, and going cmc with your first pick, like you said, is definitely the way to go. I don't think cmc will be there at 1.2 though, and if a trade isn't available, I'd consider Cook here or possibly Taylor.

You can definitely post updates during the draft on here and might be able to get some quick responses, definitely worth a try.

I would take the top asset overall none QB available with your 1st round pick and hope an elite TE is available in the 2nd. The 8 team format helps the possibility in the 2nd round. Lots of ways to go depending how each round unfolds based on format.

In a start 2 TE premium 8 team league I wouldn't be shocked if you went Kelce

Treat it as a 12 team 1QB league as far as qb values go

TE should be a priority. I'd have kelce and kittle as first rounders in this format with waller and Pitts in the 2nd.

I'd look to trade back from the 1.02 especially if you think that QBs are going to go early.

I wouldn't touch QB until much later.

Definitely wait on QB, even if this is a Superflex. I'd not take on until the 5th round or later. At 1.02 I might take CMC though taking Kelce might not be insane.

Not a bad start but hard to judge based on 8team format. Definitely wouldn't have gone qb back to back, since after the first wave of qbs you likely would have plenty of rounds to pick your choice considering the supply far exceeds the need. Id be looking to hammer rbs unless a stud wr falls into your lap at a clear value.

You had a great opportunity to build a dominant team by passing on QBs and you didn't take it. Are there any teams that did correctly pass on QBs early?

The hype will die on the qbs lol. If you keep stacking young valuable position players you'll be able to have your pick of the qb litter once these guys realize they don't need 4/5 qbs in an 8team.

Edit: oh my god... why did you take Stafford AND tanny? Why do you need 4 qbs in the top what 8 picks? 7? Is this some new tripleflex league?
