Making an offer for Hurts

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Making an offer for Hurts

Postby Londondynasty » Tue Jun 15, 2021 3:42 am

Team 3

For some reason QBs seem to be overvalued in this league. 14 team, 1 QB league. 4 went in the first round of the rookie draft (which ruined my plan of selecting Lance in the mid 2nd)!

I have an overload of WRs. The guy with Hurts is short of WRs and Hurts is his back-up QB.

Is Carr+Mims good for both of us? I have Ryan as my QB1, but I want a QB with rushing upside.
Team 1: Superflex PPR. 35 keeper. 1 qb, 1 Superflex, 2 rb, 2wr, 4 flex, 1 te
QB: Rodgers, Allen, Lance, M.White, Bridgwater
RB: Fournette, Pollard, Chubb, Dillon, C-Patt, J.Cook, K.William, JRob
WR: Adams, Keenan Allen, Evans, Mooney, Juju, Corey Davis, G.Davis, Van Jefferson, Chark, Atwell
TE: Kelce, Waller, Tonyan, Brate, Taysom

Team 2. PPR. 14 teamer. 1qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 2 wr/rb, 1 wr/te 1 te, k, p, various IDP
QB: Hurts, Ryan, Watson
RB: Barkley, Mixon, CEH, Penny, Gibson, Hunt
Rhamondre
WR: Hill, Adams, Chase, Brown, Toney, Chark, Gage, Campbell, OBJ, Reagor, Mims, Marshall, Wandale, Bell,
TE: Kittle, Waller, Henry, Njoku

The same happened in the 14 team league I’m in (4 QBs drafted in the 1st; Mac Jones then went at 2.13). Carr + Mims is worth a shot, but I’m not sure your trade partner will see Mims as being much help to his WR group now that Corey Davis and Elijah Moore are also in town.

I would try Cooper/Newton for him.....get a couple of stiffs off your team....some folks still think Cooper is a good WR.......get value for him....or since you have both Chase and Higgins...could go Higgins.....young upside......

Am I missing something in not valuing QBs that highly?!

Valuing QBs highly is very league to league and the owners dictate price. I'm in a 12 team 1 QB league where they are super pricey. I think Carr is a fine backup and looked very solid last year, so I would not overpay as Hurts is risky long term. That being said, I dont think Carr + Mims is bad if you are high on Hurts.

I would hold Carr and try to move Cam if you can. But the offer thrown out there isn’t awful if you really want Hurts.
