Kamara + Evans or picks?

Team 1 in sig. Last year's champ is thinking about blowing it up and he sent me over this offer to get back his first with a few others on top. With Kamara and Evans I think my team becomes very strong; obviously not having a QB3 once Cam loses his job is not ideal and TE is a bit lackluster, but it's .5 PPR with no TE premium so RBs and QBs are king anyway.

Get: Kamara, M. Evans

Fair price if this puts you over the top. Pricey if not, but picks are never a guarantee to hit. Do you think you are a legit contender?

I think it would put me in the top two. The problem is that the other guy has JT/Akers/Chubb/CEH at RB, and JJeff/Terry/Ridley/Cooper at WR. His QBs are weak depending on how long Watson gets suspended though with DD/Cousins/Carr and he's got Engram at TE. Plus he has 1.02 and 1.07 and 2.01 so he's gonna add on additional really good pieces. So I'm torn between trying to open a window and going toe to toe with him now or getting picks and hoping they pan out and playing more of the long game.

That's a rich price to pay In SF for two aging assets, even for a contender. Kamara is a super stud, and probably retains some of that value, but you're moving assets guaranteed to appreciate for assets almost guaranteed to depreciate. I'm afraid this deal looks very bad in a few Months if you don't win the whole thing. It's not a bad deal on paper but I just don't think I could do it unless kamara was *THE* missing piece that gives me 99% chance at a title

You can get Mike Evans level production for much cheaper. Maybe you can give 2 1sts for AK and look elsewhere for a wr2?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I went back with 1.06 and his 22 1st for Kamara and he shot me down so I guess I'll just hang on and develop through the draft like I originally planned on unless something else comes along.

I would gladly trade the picks if those players made me a sure fire favorite for a 2021 championship. But even then there is risk…that’s a big price.

That risk is too great. If you don’t win this year, you’ve eliminated your top draft capital typically used to retool. I don’t see your WR corps as strong enough to make this kind of an all-in move. I would hold and make your picks this year. Then you can see how your roster develops over the season with those two 1sts in your pocket. That 1.06 will be valuable with this draft class.

Go win it. Take a risk blah blah blah appreciating v. depreciating blah blah blah, how about if you hold those picks and dont win it this year or next or in three. Kamara and evans could help a contender for a few years. You could regret not doing this in 4 years when you have a second place finish, a third and miss the playoffs. Go get em!
