Zach Ertz Value? (2 TE/TEP league)

2 TE/TE premium league (also superflex). Would you trade away Ertz for Nico Collins/Tulane Wallace + 3rd round pick in 2023? Only have a couple of usable TEs besides him but I’m also not really a contender.

I would hold. I'd rather hold to shop to a contender during this season and risk him failing in 2021, and retire on my bench, than sell that short

I basically did just that. Dealt him for the 2.06 in a SF/Devy league and took Collins with that pick. I’d definitely do the deal for Collins+3rd. I shopped him around a while with zero interest. Sure his value could increase but I’d rather get a prospect I like now than carry him on the roster and risk the value dropping. This is a second year league that I went heavy on youth/Devy so not contending yet.

I could see taking this deal if you are looking for young hopeful depth, but I could also see holding given the format and hoping his value rebounds a bit. It's a gamble either way, but I would be looking to hold right now as his value is super low this offseason.

To be fair, I didn’t notice the 2TE plus TEP setting when I made my original reply. That would probably give me pause, but the utter lack of interest in Ertz, both in the dynasty community and the real NFL, makes me think this is still probably the best return you’ll get for him at this point. If the team is not competing, as OP said, it’s still probably better to cash out for a handful of dart throws.

This is ~50% discount in an only TEP league. That discount probably increases 150% or so in 2TE. Ertz is only 30... still younger than other productive players at the position in the past... Kelce, Olsen, Graham, Gronk. If you want to trade him, wait until he is out of PHI.

This is awful value. Don't do this trade.

I would still hold and see what happens with Ertz. The 2nd is a long way out and in a start 2 TE, I think his value will rebound a bit in season. The offseason is full of low ball and hoping to buy for the cheapest possible price type deals.

He will outperform his implied value. Selling with no liquidity is never a good practice.

I would also still hold considering a second two years away.

I'd be holding him right now. His value is low, but assuming he is cut or traded (most likely cut) and will hopefully land in a good spot. So if your not contending I'm holding and hoping to get a much better return. What is he lands in Tenn, LAC, LAR, Seattle, etc, several great landing spots for him. Too me your selling very low in a 2 TE / TEP league.
