Big Trade, plz halp

Postby JamboMac » Tue Jun 08, 2021 8:34 am

Team 4 in Sig.

This was a startup I set up last year. I went a way I never thought of before and sold everything and everyone. Ended up with an amazing haul in the draft, on top of the 4x2022 1sts (1 of them potential early-mid, 2 defo at least a mid, one the potential league winner) and 2x2022 2nds.

So my plan was in full effect and going well.

Someone wants to blow up their team and have offered me..

Get
McCaffrey
Arob
Kelce

For

Give
Hurts
Reagor
Etienne
3x 2022 1st (the early-mid, a mid and the contender)
2022 2nd (early-mid)

I originally offered Wilson in Hurts place and without Reagor.

Would you counter with my original offer, take this offer (this offer wouldn't go away even if I countered), or stick to my guns and end up with more depth than I can handle, then use it to win for years (proving I'm savvy with my picks)?

I do have doubts over the plays I'd get.

CMC - injury and usage from the fallout
Arob - Dalton or new QB
Kelce - age

These are minimal doubts though, but something is telling me to stay course and hope I pick well, then contend in a year or two.

Sorry for the essay.

If this trade makes you one of the best teams in 2021 and positions you for a championship run…you should respectfully counter but work to get the 3 players he offered.

Snap accept that. No need to counter, that is getting greedy.

Hurts could end up being really good this year. Particularly in fantasy with his legs. This is a very RB favourable league, with an extra point for big TD's over 40 yards.

I know I'm overthinking it. I made a pact to stay my course the first two drafts and if it all went well, I'm winning for years, or at least having a lot of fun drafting. But this throws a spanner in the works

The value is certainly there in the short term if you are trying to make a run this year or next. Picks are no guarantee to hit either, so at least you know what you are getting here if you are going all in.

He could or he could suck. We really don't know what Hurts or your 3 picks will turn into. I prefer the pieces that have proven to be studs over a lot of unknowns.

I’m hammering the accept button in this trade.

TEs last - kelce has 3+ more years elite production with mahomeboy.

CMC - arguably one of the best assets in dynasty football. Dude is a monster. One year of the injury stuff is outlier. Dudes a freak and good for 20+ a game when healthy.

A Rob - not huge on him but he never has a QB. I’m high on fields and think he will be star. A rob with fields - hell yea.
10 Team League .5 PPR

QB: Pat Mahomes
RB: Zeke Elliott
RB: Saquon Barkley
WR: Amari Cooper
WR: Chase Claypool
WR: Brandon Aiyuk
TE: Mike Gesicki / Gronk
Flex: Kadarius Toney
Flex: Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Defense: CHI
Kicker: Tyler Bass

Bench = Matt Stafford, Deshaun Watson, Darnell Mooney, Tony Pollard, Darell Williams, Rondale Moore, Laviska Shenault, Will Fuller, Irv Smith, Sammy Watkins, Trey Sermon, Tyler Johnson, Donald Parham

Picks:
2022 = one 1st (late), two 3rds
2023 = 3rd rounder

I agree… make the deal!! Think about how many firsts each one of those guys would be worth individually?????
PW league - 10 tm Dynasty league-Roster/Keep 28 - Pass:1/20 3pt TD; Run/Rec:1/10 6pt TD; no ppr; no neg pts

I prefer Hurts to Wilson (assuming Zach, not Russ) straight up by a decent margin, so I’d at least try the counter you’re considering, even if you have to leave Reagor in the deal. If he doesn’t go for that, I’d probably still accept it as is. This makes you an instant contender. That’s the kind of move that you want to push all you chips in on.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

I’m smashing the accept. You have a good amount of youth, could use some studs to help push you for title. I’m not in love with next years class, so giving up 3 of them, this year wouldn’t worry me considering the return.

If this guy is offering trades like this I’m 100% not countering and smashing accept on the off chance he’s made another junky offer to someone else too.
