8 Man Start Up Advice

Postby jonesmaster » Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:24 am

I got 1.02 in a start-up and the format is pretty funky so would love to hear who everyone's targets would be round 1-3. The draft is the 19th and i will post results here for those curious.

Format: SF, 0.5 PPR, and TE Prem; 1 QB; 2RB; 4WR; 2TE 2 FLX (1 is SF)

I was thinking about going with CMC, but also worried that just means i gotta go win now. I think if i went QB it would be Lamar. in Rounds 2 and 3 i even debated going double TE if they let me or going with another QB in rd. 2 and then TE rd.3

Any opinions are very helpful. Thanks guys
8-team SF / 0.5 PPR / TE (Full PPR) Scoring: 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 2FLX, 1 SFLX, 1TE, 1D/ST, K (Only relevant players listed)

RB: AK , Mostert
WR: Godwin , Deebo , Dotson , Hollywood, Addison, E. Moore

The exact pts for TE premium would be helpful but with the deep starting requirements and it only being 8 teams I'd go CMC and start snagging skill position players...maybe grab a qb round 3ish...of course it's all depends on how the league drafts as well but I have a feeling you'll have nice QB options in rounds 3-6

I'm going CMC in that format if he's there. I would wait as long as I could for QBs considering it's an 8-team format. CMC should be the highest valued player in that format and I'd be ecstatic to have him. Having the highest valued asset also doesn't mean you are in a win-now mode, because you can always trade him for a huge haul this season

Cmc and go win now. In an 8 team league try and compete as much as you can, shouldn’t need to enter long rebuilds unless your team gets really messy

Seems like your top RB is the way to go here in a smaller eight team league. Despite all the WR's needed weekly, there should be lots of good options there as the draft goes in a smaller team format. Having to start 2 RBs, a solid pair will be key in this league.
