Why would I trade from 1.9 to 1.7?

In league 2, I have picks 5, 6, 8, and 9.

The first four picks will be at least 2 and possibly 4 QBs. This would allow me the top 4 non QB positions. The wildcards are the 2nd pick where owner has Burrow, Baker, and Ben but loves Chase. The other is pick 3 (who also has pick 7) who has Goff, Jimmy G, and Cam. I assume he'll go QB at 3 and BPA at 7 but he loves the Patriots and at 7 or 9, it's probably Mac Jones, who I don't want.

There's this trade out there which will most likely get me from 9 to 7 and give me 4 picks in a row in the first round
I give: 1.9, 4.10, and 2022 2nd (late)
I get: 1.7, 4.3, and 2022 3rd (mid)

Anyone else ever do a trade they probably don't NEED to do, just to get their guy? The idea of being able to get Lance or Fields as well and/or some of: Chase, Harris, Etienne, Williams, Smith, or Waddle is super exciting. The only question is who I want most. We have no TE spot so Pitts will go much later than most.

Follow up question, if 2 QBs go when my 4 consecutive picks are up, do I go Wilson and Lance or Fields, with RB, and WR I like best (or even two RBs)?? It's Superflex so you can never have too many QBs.

Super cheap to move up, I'd take 1.07 and reduce the risk of him passing on Mac. If Chase and Najee are gone by your pick I would look to see if any QB needy teams are willing to pay big to move up.

I like the value to move up here and get two picks earlier. I think this is a nice deal to make. It gets you a bit earlier and your pick of a better prospect.

The space between those two picks (#7 & #9) looks to be pretty crucial in this year's draft. As others have said, the price to move up is very good, I'd absolutely pull the trigger if i were you.

Owner looks to be interested in dropping to 1.9. With the guy getting Mac Jones at 9 (because I doubt he goes 2-4 and I don't want him 5-8), he may not go QB at 3 and I could end up snagging Fields and/or Lance

I think there's a clear top 8, price seems cheap to secure 4 of them.

In no particular order...
Top 4 Qb's (Lawrence, Lance, Fields, Wilson
Top 2 Rbs (Harris and ETN)
Top 1 WR (Chase)
Top 1 TE (Pitts)

Those imo should be top 8 no matter what your roster construction is. After that, Mac, Williams, Smith seem to be mixed into a tier, although sometimes they get muddled with Waddle and Bateman as well. I have seen Mac go in the top 8 in one league. I think Mac is undervalued, upside may be somewhat limited because he is not very mobile but could be a solid QB for years which is valuable in SF.

edit: I'm seeing no TE spot, that is weird. It does de-value Pitts some.

Trade completed. So now I have picks 5, 6, 7, and 8.

It is looking as if it will go Lawrence, Chase, Fields, Lance then me or Lawrence, Fields, Lance, Wilson, then me. So I'm probably looking at Harris, ETN, Wilson, and *insert 4th guy here* (Waddle or Smith?) or Harris, Chase, ETN, and *insert 4th guy here* (Waddle or Smith?)

I don't hate Mac Jones but I'm avoiding him where I can.
